As sunshine has returned to Los Angeles, I had to reflect and enjoy the real sunshine vs. the liquid sunshine. Most of you are familiar with the term “Texas- sized”? Well, if you are not, let me share, we consider this definition as ’bigger than anywhere else’. Now with that said we have had ‘Texas sized rain’ here in the Greater Los Angeles area for a while now. Most of us were thrilled to get the H2O.Every time it rained, I would say to Diane: “Good for the grass, good for the citrus” this has been a standard bantering for the past seven or eight years. Needless to say, the past few years less than normal, due to the lack of rain.As most of you know this year was an exception. We had over 18 inches of rain already. This past storm clearly set new records for precipitation in the Greate...

Baked Chicken Breasts, while working on tomorrow's meal... as most of you know tomorrow will be French Onion soup per super chef Thomas Keller's recipe. The recipe from the cookbook Bouchon of the same name as the restaurants. Now with that said today was about baked chicken breasts with shitake mushrooms sautéed with onions and farrow.  The best part was I had some leftover caramelized onions to prepare it with. Then I placed them on a bed of fresh baby spinach with baby kale.  Diane thought I left the skin on the chicken breast which she is not a fan of little did she know it was shredded parmesan cheese on top.    Wishing you a safe and healthy life and I look forward to your comments. Which dinner would you have preferred? I have been crazy busy with real estate negotiations so little time for making complicated dinners. Yesterday aka Friday the 13th I made a really simple meal. Check it out baked fish sticks and baked French fries with vegies.Today I had a bit more time and was working on caramelizing onions for an upcoming French Onion Soup. Hence, I made chicken sausages two different flavors and took some of the onions for the dinner. Now with that said which meal would you have preferred? Easy to make so it is a simple question which one would you like to have?     Wishing you a safe and healthy life and I look forward to your comments. The history of our Horizontal Christmas Tree told by a Pet Friendly Realto in Los Angeles Endre Barath, Jr.The question always comes up, year after year, why we have a Horizontal Christmas Tree? So, with that said let me share the reason. We were living in Century City a section of Los Angeles and we had two cats.
