What is the Lange Foundation? This question often comes up either face to face or via email. The most recent times it has come up, was on this platform, hence I thought a simple blog post would be a more appropriate way to answer it rather than a comment here and there.Fourty-five years ago, Gillian Lange founded the first Shelter Rescue Foundation in the United States. She was ahead of her time. People did not go to Rescue Organizations to get a pet. Almost Speechless Sunday: Pet Friendly Realtor in Los Angeles, CA. After our Brunch we decided to stop in at the Lange Foundation to check on our little Carmen, to see how she is doing.She was a bit sad and in pain, it was visible to us, after Diane sat with her on her bed, she managed to coax her into getting up and going for a little stroll. Needless to say she took care of business and enjoyed the little stroll of half a block to and from the Lange Foundation. It was a heart breaker for me to see her wanting to get into the car to go home with us instead back to Lange..... needless to say she is getting lots of attention from everyone and she has a huge fan club. They are all cheering her on to get well soon. Unfortunately we will not know anything until probably Wednesday after all ... 01/27/2019

I have some great news to report Octavia is in a home on a Trial Basis. This post is bitter sweet for me. I would have loved to adopt Octavia a long time ago but sadly she only likes people, hence Pet Friendly Realtors and Pet Friendly Home Owners would not have worked for her, since most of us opened our hearts and homes to many other critters. Hence the challenge was to find the one person who does not have any pets but is willing to take on the challenge with Octavia.Octavia has dog aggression with other dogs and other pets, hence it was clear that the home she would end up in would be in another Volunteer's Home. Here is a loving dog that for some reason no one has adopted yet from the Lange Foundation in Los Angeles. Just to give you a quick background, she is very loving and intelligent, the only draw back is she needs to be an only child. She does not like other pets.Diane, drove her over to our home for a quick afternoon play date. As soon as she recognized our home and the drive way she was all excited. Tail waging could hardly wait to get in the back yard. Totally human friendly and wanted to be with us. On a side note she was so friendly the last time when one of our neighbors came over, the neighbor who has two dogs herself could hardly wait to see her.
