I know over the years, technology has improved the way we do business.  One, the digital contracts are FABULOUS.   Our clients can be anywhere in the world, and sign a contract.   They send reminders on the dates so they don't pass without notice and keeps all the documents in the cloud.Email drives us all crazy, especially the spam that comes in all day long (and all night long...), but we couldn't do business without it.This morning, I have a listing that will expire in a couple of weeks, and now our local MLS alerts us of these dates.  When we enter a listing, it requires an expiration date as well.    I am SO thankful for this feature, as I remember way back then...Probably somewhere from 2006-2008 when it was a serious buyer's market, homes were on the market FOREVER!  Some expired...

August RPR Challenge - Why, Yes It Is! As much as I tried to make this post a positive one in totality, about the RPR program, it fell short of expectations. Could be because Utah is a non-disclosure state and there are gaps in information that is supposed to be deemed reliable. This month’s challenge is exactly that, a challenge! After plugging in the address of a listing that will go live in a week, the suggested price point was well over and above any recent sales in that particular neighborhood. That was a concern.  Also, for some reason the square footage was off by 1000 square feet, (County records must be incorrect). I was able to submit the true measurements and yet, the market value was still particularly high, by about $200,000. (?) The graphics and details are excellent and s...

RPR is a great resource for Realtors, yet when I mention it to co-workers, they usually don't understand what I'm referring to. RPR stands for Realtor Property Resource, and is made available to us through the National Association of Realtors. You can use RPR to research properties, neighborhoods, school districts, and other options. You can access maps, past history of a property, the owners names, and much more. There are many uses, but the one I utilize the most is address labels for a neighborhood. If  a buyer is looking for a home in a particular community, I can compile a list of homes in that neighborhood that might be an option for my buyer.  First, log into RPR and select "Research" at the bar across the top of the page. Then enter an address in the search bar, then click on t...

Labor Day is nearly here. There are 24 days until Autumn (or Fall). If you look carefully, there are changes all around this time of year. The days are getting shorter. Did you have a chance to tell someone "You are Special today?" The coffee cup is a gift for a client of mine.   It won't be long before the NFL 2024 Seasons Kicks off. If you are going to serve beer and alcohol, don't forget that prices are rising from week-to-week. It will be interesting to see how much prices increase between September 24, 2024 and January 5, 2025. And of course, October Fest is right around the corner. Let's all practice safety rules and don't drink and drive. Watch out and be safe driving!  Who is your favorite Football Team? Whether you are a sports fan or not, or if it's strictly business, never fo...

You  really do not know what each day may present in terms of challenges, failures and /or successes.  Life is made up of beautiful unpredictability. We may not know what each day holds, but we can be confident that each day will hold something amazing. The capabilities of RPR are many and varied. They provide us with many tools that might make our days easier.keep our challenges under control  and end up with more successes at the end of the day.  I use it every week and hopefully everyday.     Home is where I start because we all know that there is no place like home and I am in that business.  Selling homes.    Research is where I spend most of my time, I use various sources of information and this is just one of them.  I try to market myself as a neighbor hood expert and this is whe...

How are you using your iPad For Business?I remember when the early iPads came out. I had a nice closing and rushed to the local AT&T store to collect my latest and greatest tool. The apps looked neat, especially Open House Pro. This tech is going to change my business, until it didn't... Today I have my Dotloop and KVCORE app and use both on a regular basis. But frankly most of the time my IPAD is for games like Clash of Clans (addicting btw). What apps are you using these days? How can I get more function out of my device for real estate life?
