Good afternoon and hello there again.  Hope you are doing well and had a wonderful St Patrick's Day Weekend.  Wanted to share Tim's Time Outs again.  LIVE JOY: Don't wait for success to bring joy to your life. LIVE in JOY and by so doing you'll bring truly meaningful success to your pursuits. Be joyful for no reason other than because it's so good for you, and for the world around you.  Remember that whatever you're doing, you'll do it more effectively when you're felling life's joy.   When the challenges come,(and they will), meet them with joy and transform them into valuable achievements.  When the disappointments come,(and they will), be joyful that you now have the opportunity to move beyond them.   It's difficult for anything to bring you down when you constantly realign your foc...

Today Kathy Streib wrote a post Motivational Monday - What do you do? It had a wonderful quote:Remember that you only get a limited time on this earth. Today is a good day to do something that makes you feel happy!UnknownI am sitting here writing this post and thinking about what I do. I mentioned in a comment that I have been trying to laugh every day. I had read that laughter is good for your health. It is not hard to discover things to laugh at. Not those videos of people failing, but wonderful videos of animals helping each other or acting odd. It makes me laugh and that makes me happy. Then I am sitting at my desk, looking out the window watching the clouds and remembering as a child as I see these clouds floating past all the creatures I envisioned as I watched the clouds transform...

Motivation can make a lasting impression on people of all ages. The very first quote I heard and memorized was when I was in second grade. My teacher, Miss Ivan said, behind every dark cloud there is a silver lining. As a kid, my imagination captured the silver lining around the cloud and helped get me through some tough challenges in life. | In between my second and third grade at school, I met head on with many adversities and sorrows. If it wasn't for Miss Ivan, and that image I pasted in my mind, I don't know what would have happened to me. When bad things happen, children are left with lasting impressions. In the summer between second and third grade school I found the body of the drugstore lady who was murdered. When I was in third grade, my appendix was about to burst. Our family...

Rejecting negativity, especially negative individuals, is crucial for maintaining a positive mindset. Wayne Dyer advocates a simple approach: when confronted with negativity, silently affirm "next" and move forward.Avoiding negativity also entails distancing oneself from negative people, as they can drain one's energy. Surrounding oneself with love and positivity is essential; negativity should not be allowed to take root in one's environment. Remember, the company you keep reflects upon you, so choose wisely.Mindset shapes our experiences each day. It determines how we navigate challenges, even the seemingly insurmountable ones. Personally, I seek mentors who exemplify resilience amidst chaos. These are individuals who maintain optimism and hopefulness in the face of negativity. They p...

To the Long Gray Line and all United States Military Academy Supporters: Observations by a Beverly Hills Realtor on Duty, Honor, Country.  As I take a small piece from, and reflect back on, FDR's speech of December 7, 1941 - March 11, 2024, will live in “infamy".  For that is that day that the 61st Superintendent of the United States Military Academy at West Point penned a letter justifying and announcing a change to the Academy's official long-standing Mission Statement of “Duty, Honor, Country”.  He shrouded himself by using the word "updating" when in reality the statement has been eliminated and replaced with the wording “… To build, educate, train, and inspire the Corps of Cadets to be commissioned leaders of character committed to the Army Values and ready for a lifetime of servic...

Seller says, "It's a Steal" at This Price! When a new, cooler cycle emerges from the ashes of a completely lit past market, it takes time for home sellers to get on board with reality. Try as agents might, there’s no convincing all owners of current property value. Three reasons why listings sit on the market rather than quickly going under contract:💰 Sellers think the law of attraction will bring an unsupecting buyer, encouraging them to pay well above market price.🦄 They are convinced their upgraded home will ignite a bidding war, fueled by wealthy unicorn buyers from outside areas.🔥 Most take into consideration a Zestimate when plugging their hot property into the national web site to get ‘real’ value. These sellers quite often know more than experienced real estate professionals, pl...

One of the easiest ways to stay positive is to practice gratitude.  Cultivating gratitude is a cornerstone of positivity. Take time each day to reflect on the things you are grateful for, no matter how small.  Gratitude helps shift your focus from what's lacking to what's present, fostering a sense of abundance and appreciation. Surround Yourself with Positivity.  Surround yourself with uplifting influences, whether it's supportive friends and family, inspiring books and podcasts, or uplifting music and art.  Positive environments can bolster your own optimism and provide a source of encouragement during tough times. Lastly, be kind to yourself, especially when facing difficulties.  Treat yourself with the same compassion and understanding you would offer to a friend in need. Acknowledg...

When you first start blogging, chances are you'll blog about ANYTHING just to get a post completed!  Unless you've got prior experience blogging before arriving here in the Rain, I liken beginning blogging to being a kid with training wheels on your bike.  You're moving along, maybe not too quickly, and maybe with some side to side wobbles, but you're heading in the rough direction you want to go. As you gain experience blogging, it usually gets easier.  The mechanics are in place.  You know how to use the blog editor, where to find usable pictures, and the ideas come easier. As you progress, the next step is determining how to prioritize your topics. The key is asking yourself:  "Who is my target audience?". Is it other real estate professionals or consumers? The answer influences not...

Is blogging on Activerain from a mobile device doable and even necessary when you’re out in the world and Mobile? My answer, yes! The fact and reality is I’m doing it right here right now. Why? To see how much effort really goes into creating a blog post quickly and efficiently while out on the road and living your life? I wanted to see how much time it took, how many resources I needed, and how quickly I could get links, images, videos, and more posted on a blog posting. I also wanted to see if there would be any hitches in my giddyup?! You know, bugs and glitches, etc. We all know mobile isn’t the same as pads, and laptops etc. I’m creating this post using an iPhone and I suddenly realize how important this could be to track my progress along with giving guidance and instructions on ...

I know that many have standing appointments on Tuesday at 2 PM EST and that there are some who “don’t do Zoom” but I have learned something from every call.    Through the Years…What a Buffet of Learning By now you know that we had a special Zoom Call with Brad Andersohn this week.  As others have said it was a reunion of sorts.  Some were early ActiveRain members…some made Tuesday their first ActiveRain call…and the rest have made the Zoom Call a weekly habit.                                                                    (From 2020) What struck me was that this Tuesday at 2 PM EST Zoom Call has been around for FOUR years!  What began during Covid from Marie Story’s request for a Zoom “Coffee” date morphed into a weekly sharing of the minds. I know that many have standing appointme...

Let's highlight the significance of a leader's role in driving behavioral change and enhancing our team's performance. I highly recommend a few things: creating a "to dominate list" for prioritizing tasks and executing effectively, which involves self-leading; recognizing your team's priorities, managing calendars, taking notes, and setting regular meeting rhythms. It's crucial for us leaders to keep engaging with our team members to identify and address performance issues. We must align team members' goals with the company's mission and vision, helping them understand the connection between their individual contributions and the larger picture.Dealing with underperformance or misbehavior? I have some advice too — encouraging team members to identify the root cause of the issue using var...

Sandpoint Realty 'Friday Flag' comes with some nastalgia today.  At least on my part.My little girl has popped up unexpectedly the last couple of weeks while organizing files and photos.  Miss her still.  Pend Oreille Vetinary Service is where I have taken all my buddies from Bilbo, Grizzly and finally my little girl Halley.  Dr. Smart treated me with as much loving care as any of my above mentioned buddies, when we needed attention and reassurance.  Should I ever have another special buddy there will not be a 2nd thought as to where they will have their medical needs taken care of.  Thank you Pend Oreille Vetinary Service, not only for proudly flying our USA Flag but the special care given to my very important buddies.    A morning ritual with my 'little girl' Halley.  While I was in t...
