Levels Of Service What do you have?     As Realtors® many of us talk about service and how we go that extra step or “Above & Beyond” for our clients.  My question to all those buyers and sellers out there is what type of service do you consider going above and beyond?     I have on occasion taken the seller’s dogs for a walk so that the home could be showed without the dogs in the home.     I have gone and mowed the yard for a seller that was on vacation and had not mowed it before he left and we had a showing scheduled for the next day.   I could go on and on about the things we do for our clients but the most important part is the happiness we see in our clients faces at the closing table.       As I am always available and never far from any electronic device whether it is my iPhone,... 02/25/2014

Buyers and Sellers Read Your Agency Agreements BEFORE You Sign Them!     In a growing trend we have seen more and more in Greensboro, NC agents are adding in fees to the agency agreements.  On both sides Buyer and Listing agreements we have seen additional fees tacked on for the firms.  Some agents have mistakenly sent us the wrong documents giving us a look.  Sometimes these documents have been their buyer agreements.  I have seen a buyer’s agreement where the buyer has blindly signed the agreement which has obvious typos stating that the firm is to be paid a commission double of what was in the MLS.  In other words the amount put in was the full commission for both the buyer and seller’s side.   Then on top of that though is also an additional fee of $200 to $300 added on.  So do you ... 02/14/2014

Behind the Scenes of MYTHBUSTERS!   Yes of things to do in Greensboro, North Carolina on a Wednesday night instead sitting in front of a television, I decided to take out both my sons actually to see in person Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman of MYTHBUSTERS fame!  The very popular (judging by the packed house) show on A&E Mythbusters has been on for know over 11 seasons.  While we were not treated to the usually explosions and general demolition of urban myths and popular movies. Greensboro NC Reaching Out to Foodies     Greensboro North Carolina has started joining many other progressive cities by encouraging Foodies and entrepreneurs to showcase their goods.  I was lucky enough today to see the tweet when the city of Greensboro’s own Twitter account let us know which food trucks would be out and where they would be today.       After walking down the row of food trucks and looking at the menus I settled on the food truck from a local restaurant 1618 Market.  I was not disappointed at all.  I choose the pulled pork with asian slaw on a french baguette with truffle pomme frites and orange infused iced tea.   I salute Greensboro for actually setting aside green space and they have set aside a downtown parking lot (not an easy thing to decide to do) for the food t... 10/24/2012

The Kirkwood Neighborhood a Secluded Bedroom Community in the Heart of Greensboro NC   Over the years Kirkwood has become one of Greensboro’s best kept secrets.  This is a neighborhood that has not only held it’s values during one of the largest shake ups in the national real estate market they have improved.  I have had clients over the years that have insisted on buying in only Kirkwood and have also payed a premium to live there.     A peaceful neighborhood that is very close knit.  If you drive down their peaceful streets the one scene you will see repeated in many of the front yards are the pairs of adirondack chairs used for peacefully sitting outside and visiting with all your neighbors.   This is a community that even has it's own July 4th parade each year!      Since we have su... 08/27/2012

Greensboro’s Atlantic & Yadkin Greenway   The Atlantic & Yadkin Greenway is a long greenway that is the union of several paths such as the Lake Brandt Greenway, Battleground Rail Trail, and the Bicentennial Greenway.  Those paths along with the old abandoned Atlantic-Yadkin Railroad bed make up the new Atlantic & Yadkin Greenway.  The present rail trail starts well within Greensboro and continues through Battleground Park and Bur-Mil Park along Lake Brandt lets everyone enjoy the beauty of nature.  There are plenty of scenic overlooks, bridges over the lakes, benches to take advantage of the natural beauty of our parks and natural lands.  This is one of my favorite places to exercise.  I ride my bike from the beginning of the trail which starts behind the Target shopping center on Lawnd... 08/23/2012
