I have attended many FAR and NAR conventions in Orlando.  I have gone to Tech seminars in Atlanta, Sarasota, and Miami.  In the early 2000's I spent a week in Manhattan at an SEO forum.  Also a convention in Nashville.  And four weeks in Scottsdale, AZ with a tech company.  And Salt Lake City for tech.  And others.

CE classes in Fargo are a 300 mile drive for me Jeff Pearl .

North Dakota and South Dakota alternate our State NAR meetings. I did attend one in Sioux Fall SD and that was about 500 miles. That would be my all time longest just for CE credits.

I typically get my CE at the annual Ohio Realtors convention wherever it is held. Either Columbus, Cleveland or Cincinnati.  However, a nice cruise in warmer weather would be a more ideal location:-)

It would need to be one HELL OF A CLASS for me to drive that far!  The most I'm willing to do is 30-45 minutes.  Most of the classes in my area a 3 minutes from my house... IN TRAFFIC!

 

The last long distance class I went to was 45 minutes away... but it was a shooting class and that's where the nearest public outdoor range is.

My son was sent to London for training from west coast. Due to time change he slept through 1st day. Day 5 flew back economy class. Next Monday go to work in west coast.

As for me, they have not paid me for the lectures I gave 3 months ago.  I did have realtors came 100+ miles away. I reward the fartherest student a lead.

I'll readily go an hour (Orlando) or for something really special, 5 hours (Miami). Once I went on an all expenses paid trip to Austin for 'assimilation.' It didn't take.

However I have attended training from much, much greater distances, but the training was not the prime objective and the tax benefit at the time made it a 'no brainer.'

Although closer, I would have zero interest in traveling to the state capital, Tallahassee for training even if Hillary was the instructor.

Hmm, what could she teach? "How to cope when your partner goes wonky."
