I intermittently use a magnetic sign with name, company name, website and phone number.  When showing homes, it gives you some brand awareness you would not otherwise have and makes the police and local security aware of why you are driving continually through a residential area.

I use temporary marketing offered only when parked in high visibilty, easy access locations. In my location in Florida, where many out-of-towners have no agent connection. This marketing has proved very effective.

in the late 1970's I had magnetic decals on my front doors.... back then I drove a new Ford Thunderbird.... not a luxury vehicle.... it damaged the paint job...

I have magnets.  Want a decal on back window.  They are on my vehicle when showing and sometimes I keep place them on when attending big events.  

Yes.  I have a white decal on my back window in large letter with my name/business/telephone.   I receive calls periodically so I think it is worth it.     I just need to remember to drive safetly as my name/business is associated with my driving style good or bad. :)   My complain with many RE magnet signs is the font is too small and possible damage to the car paint.  I'd also delete the picture so you there is more space for written words in larger fonts. I think I paid $170 for decal and installation.

I used to have attractive magnetic signs for all of my staff, but then my insurance agent pointed out how much ambulance chasers enjoy these signs and the extra level of liability that is assumed by having these anywhere near a vehicle.

I do not. I've noticed a new trend in people taking photos of your car/license plate if they don't like the way you drive and posting it on FB and social media. I wouldn't want my car to end up on there with a negative comment.

I used to have a Truck with my name, company, and a huge picture of me.. Yes, I got tons of calls but when the company decided to close I could not use it in the other company so I SOLD it!   I never drove it, I had someone drive it 4 X a week on busy areas.

I’m blessed to have strong referral business. I’m not looking for one off “clients” who would see such a sign. But those that use them to advantage, go for it.

Not yet, but I will be getting a rear-window full-coverage decal for the Jeep and a custom flag for my motorcycle that will both look similar to my business card.

I did a couple of years back. The leads were few in between. 

I my hometown of Raonoke, Virginia, I did have a magnet on the doors of my car with my logo that was professionally designed. Since I moved to my second market of Durham, NC, I have not continued that form of advertising.

I was much more successful in Roanoke, but that was due to the fact that it was my hometown and I knew it well, rather that the fact that I had a car magnet.

No I do not.  I like my car to be able to blend in to the others on the road.  I also don't want to get a negative yelp review for accidently cutting someone off... since we've never said "Darn, the house is back there" or "Oh, it's right here" when showing property.

For years I've joked that bad drivers were simply realtors (GRIs in particular) showing property.

I have thought about the idea of a personalized tag or at the very least some kind of frame around the tag, but several times when someone has ticked me off I'm so glad that I didn't have ANY identifying markers!!

No. I've heard from many agents that have tried them, that they don't do much good, and many sellers hate them. For one, if you're going to meet a seller for a listing appt, and you park the car out front, many sellers complained that they didn't want all their neighbors knowing that they were thinking about selling. The neighbors start calling with " Oh, are you selling? I saw a real estate agent in your driveway on the way home... my duaghter, son, niece, etc is an agent.....". Even worse, the neighbors call all their relatives and friends who are agents and tell them " I think so and so is going to be selling their house, but it's not listed yet. Maybe you should call them and see if you can get the listing"... you get the picture.
