I grew up in Kingston and area and after 10 years living overseas, I now reside in the Gateway to the 1000 Islands located halfway between Toronto, Ontario and Montreal, Quebec.  It is a beautiful area in all seasons but really comes to life in the summer months as we are surrounded by water.  We're situated along the St Lawrence River with Lake Ontario to the west of us, the entire Rideau Canal System to the North with its many back lakes and of course, the ever popular Charleston Lake to the East.  The International Bridge to New York State is only a few minutes down the road making us a favourite destination for vacations and summer homes.

CFB Kingston and the Royal Military College see many personnel call this area "home" as well as many from Queen's University, Kingston General Hospital, and St Lawrence College.
