Even if you’ve owned a home in the past, you may still qualify as a first-time homebuyer under many loan and assistance program guidelines. The general rule is:👉 If you have not owned a home within the past three years, you are considered a first-time homebuyer again.This three-year window applies to both you and (if applicable) your spouse.
