I was previewing a house that I thought might be nice for my buyers.  the house was suppose to be vacant.  I fumbled with the lock and finally got it open.  I stepped in and then heard this awful cry like a very upset screeching cat lion tiger.  I stepped out side promply and walked back toward my car and called my husband.  I told him I was at a house that was suppose to be empty but their was a very loud cat in the house.  He took down my address in case I got into trouble and then I called the showing service.  I told the lady who took my call about the cat and asked if there was anyone living in the house.  She said she didn't think so but would call the listing agent.  She called back and said that there wasn't suppose to be any cat there, so I asked her to stay on the phone while ... 04/08/2010

The rolling hills just South of Indianapolis east of Martinsville was a great drive today to go and show this log cabin on 5 acres that was listed by another Realtor.  Driving up the long gravel drive, I heard this very loud strange noise, very loud.  The  first thing I thought was Locust but I didn't think it was the right season.  It is the Middle of March I thought as I drove up the drive to this Log cabin on this hill that looked out over the valley and low land that this incredible noise was coming from..   My buyers came right on time.  The whole family got out of the car.  Husband, wife, mom, dad and sister.  I immediately asked them if they knew what that noise was.  The wife said she thought it was frogs mating but she wasn't sure.  The sound of the frogs were with us through o... 03/13/2010

Tomorrow I'm moving into my new office.  I was working from home but found I want to be in the company of other Realtors.  My time will be spent in a big beautiful old Victorian home, tall ceilings, long windows and a flavor of a bygone era that permeates this victorian home. Now we are a little over six months into this year.  Look around how are you doing?  Have you made the money to make your plan, did you write a plan?  How about your pipeline?  In Central Indiana we have had 3 months of increase in the number of pendings.  Homes in the entry level markets are selling and some are selling fast.  HUDs going for more than list.  Does this sound familiar.  It may be a blip but three months makes a trend in my book.  Now is the time to really hit it hard.  If it is improving we need to be ready for the winter.  The pipeline you build now will be your foundation for next year.  Many of the programs may be going away very soon.  Stay on top of your plan, work your plan and make the second half a great one. 06/16/2009

Now is the time to start farming those first time home buyers.  There are several programs that could be coming out that will so attractive that will not be able to not buy.  Many first time home buyers are scared right now or have been over the past few months.  They have heard about how many first time home buyers lost thier home.  Many of thier friends lost thier homes over the past year.  What they see is an ugly market that is cruel to first time home buyers.  It is or responsibility to work with them, educate them on how it really works and represent them they way they should be represented. 02/11/2009

When you look at the amrket from the stand point of not just a Realtor but a historian of sorts you can see the direction we are going.  We went through this is the sixties, seventies and eighties.  We were due for a turn in the merket.  tHis one was just more complex.  When you look at the trends real estate as an industry went into a downturn in September 2007.  From then forward we have gone down.  With January 2009 we saw an upturn in many markets here in indiana a nearly 20% increase and some market as high as 30%.  This was a seasoal pick up but I feel it could be more.  Sice real estate leads the economy into the bad it shall also lead it out.  The refi market picked up with the drop in rates and so has the market overall.  As we watch the reaction that the governement will do tw... 02/11/2009

The air was chilly and the snow was falling, but nothing that a super soft oatmeal raisin cookie and a cup of hot cider couldn't handle. The first Saturday in December marks the celebration of a "Victorian Christmas" in Mooresville.  For us, it also marked the grand opening of a brand new "Mega Agent Office" for our fellow KW sister Stephanie Stewart. Stephanie was just granted permission from KW International to open the office on her own so it was a little bare, but the mood and the spirits were definitely high.  There were horse drawn carriages and strolling musicians, fully dressed in period costume.
