What Makes a House a Home - Chicago, Illinois

As a real estate professional I hear a lot about what people need. I need a 4 bedroom home, I need an acre of property, I need a first floor den, I need a three car garage, I need a media room, I need a large master suite. The list of needs goes on and on. Yet, none of those needs makes a house a home. There is nothing wrong with wanting all those things. In fact, it might make life a little easier.However, a house, no matter what the size, becomes a home when the people inside feel loved and safe. I have wonderful memories of my Grandmother's Chicago Bungalow, 5442 S. Newcastle. It is about two miles from Midway Airport. Grandpa was an airplane mechanic, so the location was perfect.
