Interest rates for buying a home on the Palos Verdes Peninsula stayed steady this week but the rate of increases is slowing and may decline slightly next week. Palos Verdes real estate sales April 2018 for Palos Verdes homes increased compared to March.  55 Palos Verdes houses sold in April compared to the 59 homes sold in March and increased compared to the 48 homes that sold in April 2017.  There were 83 Palos Verdes single family homes pending in April which increased from the 67 homes pending in March.  The number of active Palos Verdes homes for sale in April (163) increased from the 152 homes for sale in March. 2017 Palos Verdes homes sales for the Mira Catalina neighborhood increased to 30 single family homes sold compared to 28 in 2016.   Price per square foot for Mira Catalina houses that sold in the first half of 2017 increased to $780 compared to $536 in 2016 a 45.6% increase.  Average sale price for Mira Catalina homes sold in 2017 was $1,898,030 compared to $1,309,130 in 2016.  The most expensive home sold for $12,000,000 and the lowest priced home sold for $976,899. Palos Verdes Estates will be offering their Bulky Trash Pick Up tomorrow and it has expanded this year to provide E-Waste pick up.This popular curbside event is scheduled for this Saturday, May 12, 2018, and Palos Verdes homes owners can have large items removed from their property if left curbside for pickup. The Palos Verdes Peninsula has a wonderful soccer program through AYSO that offers boys and girls the opportunity to play soccer throughout the year. The Palos Verdes Region 10 of the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) offers year round recreational and competitive youth soccer programs locally for four year olds (U5 division) all the way up to 19 year olds (U19).
