Seller Tip: Preparing for the Buyer's Home Inspection

The buyer's home inspection is often dreaded by sellers. Usually, fear is present because sellers are uncertain what will be inspected and what might pop up as an unknown issue. Even if the home's major systems have been diligently maintained surprises do happen, and wear and tear will show itself under the microscope of a thorough home inspection. How can a seller prepare for this examination? Think of it as a test. If you, and your home, are adequately prepared the process will most likely end well with very few surprises. Depending on the age of the house there may be notations made about older electrical and plumbing systems.
