We are decorated now and have been giving candy away for a couple of weeks now. Though we will not be open during the evening of Halloween, the celebration is going on each day we are open through Halloween.

Pretty hard to include another subject in Halloween or to switch the subject. How about a separate sign where it can be seen by parents that says: Parents we have a treat for you too in regards to any Real Estate transaction...

we did pumpkin carving contests  Cash prizes- Candy- Door Prizes and hot apple cider Every kid got a trick or treat bag with goodies including dracula teeth and spiders and other goulish things

we've never done anything for halloween at the office....however, at christmas, we have had Santa there for the children.... sent invitations to all of our past and present clients... took photos with their permission and took a full page ad with Santa and each kid... had permission in writing from each parent.... it was a big hit.... a couple of weeks before christmas....

I am in a commercial area, there are no kids and usually i lock the doors when it gets dark anyway using cameras at my entrance. I prefer to head home early and enjoy halloween in the neighborhood

We always have candy out, but rarely do children come up to our suite.  However, we do have visitors I have caught brining a bowl with them, to fill it up and return back to their office (w/in the building) with it!  I stopped one guy doing it.  He was caught with hand in jar, dumping candy into his own bowl, and laughed, saying, " I just wanted a few."  I replied, "a few is fine, a whole bowl is beyond rude."  He stared at me in disbelief and said, "really?"  What nerve!

Our office is our home, which is not in a subdivision, so no kids stop by. But if you have lots of kids and parents come by it seems like a great way to hand some kind of marketing out with candy. Even just a business card attached to the candy or something? -K
