We got a lot of rain and some flooding, but not as bad as some other states.

        I am glad you are okay, Ginger... but I know that your town just about got wiped out.  

      The week the storm came, I was in North Myrtle Beach (Little River) visiting my sister and my parents.  I walked on Sunset Beach, NC. 

      The hotel (Harbourgate) called Monday evening and said everyone had to be out on Tuesday at noon.  I drove back to Florida (I will return next week October 8).

We had a lot of rain, but fortunately my part of Charlotte was relatively unscathed and no loss of power. But we did have some flooded streets close by in south Charlotte and Union County. How did you do, Ginger?

Not directly. I pray those areas that got hot so hard will recover quickly

It made it here and dropped 6 inches of rain. Thank fully no major flooding though. I hope and pray for a quick recovery to those in the Carolina's

We were on the edge of possibly being affected until the path became more clear and headed in a more southerly direction.  Although we were relieved not to be affected, it was bittersweet due to all those who were so seriously affected. 

Ginger Harper several Minot people headed to the East Coast to help out through the Salvation Army and I know our animal shelter has checked into helping out as well.

In Oklahoma we are more concerend about tornadoes.

Hi Ginger! I've been thinking of you, wondering how you guys fared with Flo.

We had a lot of rain, flooding of the streams and mostly power outages & fallen trees in Charlotte. We were pretty lucky, for sure. 

Sadly, we are still losing some of our mammoth trees. The ground just got too wet to hold the 100-150-foot tall trees. In the last 24 hours, I have had to re-route my tour because of trees having just fallen across 4 lane roads in the inner-city areas.

I can't imagine what you guys went through in your area. Let us know how you're doing, Ginger!

We had some heavy rains a few days after landfall and or surge levels also went up... Northern Virginia has had a very WET year since spring very very wet for our normals Ginger Harper 

We are very thankful that Cocoa Beach was not impacted but we had a lot of evacuees came here. My heart goes out to you and those in your community who were affected.

Lucky being in Denver, No effect.

It did not, too far away.  BUT, there is one now off the Baja, we expect to see some rain from it.

Not really. We did have the wettest September on record though. I do not believe there was a large amount of precipitation attributed to Florence though.

If my parents still lived on Bogue Island/Salter Path, they would have been hammered I imagine.

We had severe rains.

We are so used to hurricanes in South Florida. We feel for all those who have suffered damage, etc. We feel their pain. We know it very well. 

It has not effected us here because we were spared this time around. 

However, our FPL ( electric company) fleet of trucks left the state of Florida to go help the people of North Carolina just as many of their workers camed here to help us last year in the bad hurricane Irma. 

No thankfully it did not do damage . We just received some heavy rain from it .Thank you for asking Ginger Harper
