I wouldn't discuss my personal security arrangements in a public forum... somewhat defeats the purpose.

I do not discuss my security measures on the internet.

Intruders need to know that I know how to shoot.

no, not at home or at the office.... I live in a neighborhood filled with the Franklin Police Dept.... there are cruisers in half the driveways....

We always assume that each listing has a surveillance camera going - make sure your negotiations on the home are not done in the home!

I've always felt that if someone really wants in they'll get in. So, I've never thought of security systems as loss prevention. With security cameras, I like the idea that bad bahavior gets punished. 

So many homes for sale have cameras in them now, I think it makes it harder to show homes because buyers are distracted and I can't always have conversations in the home, but must stand outside.

They're visible through the glass and MOST homes have security systems these days anyway but, I think when you see a camera, that may cause a bit more pause than if you don't.

I'm 4K all the way in both of my homes and advanced security systems in two of my vehicles including 360 degree view systems that also works in park mode.

Had a incident at my home least year and with the help of a security camera, got a conviction, perpetrator was a member of a prominent family and will not be advancing toward medical school because of this! (Long story short)

They have their place. I would use them in certain places.

What kind of question is that. It's tangible, I can see and and operate it and recognize the benefits.

It should be noted the neighbors marked police car was broken into and the assault rifle taken.

Criminals are increasingly brazen. Many are caught and never held accountable. As a society we lack the ability to teach character.

I like fire arms. I like laser sights. I like shooting ranges. Cameras make it even more interesting.

I will pubically say I have a loaded Glock G 19 any other security devices is for only me to know.

Yes, I'm a believer that they are a deterrent to crime and can provide evidence.  I do have them installed at my house.

Our brokerage does have video surveillance. Installed after we were burglarizes.

I am having video installed at home.

Didn't know that. I know that associations in my area are all over people for covering their front doors with cameras which I don't think is right. They want them removed or put thru glass only - but .... you get better coverage without doing that.

I don't have a service now but maybe that's not such a bad idea.

I am on the same page as Nina Hollander .  In California in public places, you will see a sign that discloses this, some of the smaller stores have "smile you are on camera!".  We had listings in high rises (commercial real estate) with security guards in the lobby.  

In the luxury residential arena, you just assume that there are video cameras.  In the listing notes there is a section for security system whether it is owned or leased.  A

We have security cameras in our home.

YES I have  3 exterior cameras and an interior camera. They helped solve a case of my neighbors car getting broken in when he left his car doors unlocked and a kid walking by opened up and helped himself. 

I would rather have a few hungry Dobermans at my door with the camera as a back-up when they take a break.

Yes and yes (both).  It's not so much as "security" as it is peace of mind and being able to look in on my pets.  I can also talk to them through our cameras. and Yes I have a cat at the office too.

yes and also in our autos.  And there are cameras at my day job everywhere you look and then some.
