I stopped going to these a long time ago unless they were free... same old, same old and everyone trying to sell you their product or service.

     The Trade Shows at state and local Realtors annual conventions.  I learned about Section 1031's from Starker when they had a booth set up at NAR (the 1031's are named after Starker).  When Google showed up back in the day, they had a booth at NAR.  Same for Trulia and Zillow (whatever your opinion of them).  And so on...

I've atteneded the local association's vendor expo.  Mainly because my association committee had a booth.

Other than that, most seminars I've been to (granted they were all in my prior career) were the same stuff over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

I have attended 100's of them, all worth the money.

It all depends on you, your attitude and ability to pick out the gems.

I stopped attending them a long time ago. I'm not aware of any that would worth the $$$ to me.

I think our trade shows are best. I used to go to Inman but, so many here in the Rain are so far ahead of that technology, I stopped attending.

There are so many good conferences. There are real estate conferences and also internet marketing conferences that we like to go to.  In fact, next week I will be at the Marketing Automation Funnel conference. I also leave that conference with action steps to making our funnels better and those of our clients too. I like to go to webinars online too. Those I really like because I don't have to leave my house to get to it, don't have to get dressed up, etc. Saves time. 

I refused to go to a few of the national NAR conferences because of who they hired to speak as the keynote speaker. ;) 

There are plenty of good conferences and seminars around as evidenced by the answers here. The challenge is finding the time and monies to go as well as determining which one provides the best bang for the buck!

I get all of the information I need from Katerina Gasset and her webinars.... call her and join her groups.... fast track SEO to the TOP... Listing Experts Academy....  she has a listing webinar coming up on friday....

Anyone that includes a free buffett lunch. Other than that i have not seen one that can teach me more than what actualy working in real estate can.

Many of our state conventions have speakers that are leading edge. The very best meeting about trends in the industry I ever attended was the Real Trends Conference.

CRS, state conventions, NAR conventions.

There were some, but i can't remember which ones. Many were lure, sell, then upsell type programs.

Something on social media and how you could leverage it to promote yourself might be worthwhile, but don't buy into anything, especially on the spot.

There are so many great webinars and tutorials online where you do need to drive anywhere and often not to pay even..... But at the same time your local and state board probably offer tons of live events you can attend.

Luke Acree You can learn a lot by attending any conference or seminar. Just don't get carried away with some of the hype to justify their hight cost. You would be far better off with finding a good mentor. Don't reinvent the wheel, learn from an experienced agent.

Luke, I am a subscriber to REMINDER MEDIA services. Your question suggests to me that you are trying to uncover what current agents find of value.

However, cutting edge means learning something new. For winter agents that is a "NO GO" because no one has the time to learn something new.

In direct response to your question, the Dean Gerazziosi investor seminar was excellent. WHY? I came away with a list of 21 ways to finance a real estate deal. In essence a solution to a problem I was facing.

Solutions are things agents at any level will buy, but only if they recognize a problem exists.

For the rare breed real estate professional "Burning Man" and "Block Chain" conferences are mind expanding opportunities. But they will make your brain hurt. Who wants that?

For 'IN YOUR BUSINESS' stuff, I like the seminars hosted by Hubspot and look forward to what they share regarding the consumer at large which provides a better overview of the consumer with real estate on their mind.

One thing all agents object to is media without content. The newsletters from your company meet that standard in my opinion. Fluff, no stuff.  I know that is not the intent, but for this agent, the outcome is now a no read.

This question you posted hopefully will provide some insight regarding what is really on the mind of active real estate agents and your content can create more anticipation.....and make the recipient want to read again.

I have heard Inman, and someday will attend.  The trade shows at the state and national levels usually have some great new options for our industry.
