I'm still amazed anyone views my posts. As far as I know, the only way you can tell if a "real person" is reading is when you receive the phone call/email and you can tell ActiveRain is the source. Those moments are golden.

There is no way to know. And if you are not a Rainmaker the only people who can view your posts are other AR member

There is no way to tell who has seen it. If you post it on other sites and use the short URL ten you will get a count of how many clicked through from the outside.

Missy, your account is a RAINMAKER.
That means your blogs can be found via Internet search engines. As you have discovered, you can not tell from the AR stats who viewed that are AR members and if any public is seeing your blog.
As others have noted.....AR does not provide that capability.
The best you can do is use the 'short ULR' feature as your tool to segregate your viewer origins.
If you announce your new blog on FB, use the short url instead of the full URL. The stats will then let you know how effective the FB or TWT or PTR announcement was.

Missy, there used to be a plug-in that would at least show you geographically where your blog clicks were coming from. I could never get it to work, so I removed it from my profile. If I remember the name of it, I'll post it here.

HI Missy! I'm trying to find a 2016 post that has what I found as my top hits on AR and found this! There is no way to tell who viewed it but, when the outside clicks come from your social media posts, that's when you will see them.
Better late than never, right?!!

I use Market Leader premium supplemented by my Brokerage. It has analytics that show you the URL that the person used. I see often "Referring URL" and a blog I wrote.
Otherwise just use a short URL and plaster it on as many social media sites you can.

Sometimes you have to hope those eyes on a post were from the public, but if the phone rings, that is the key.

Hello Missy that is a excellent question that I do not know the answer to, have to see if anyone does.

I'd love to know that too. Especially where those views are coming from?

Missy Adams - I doubt if this can be found out.
(And request to join the meet up in our area - first time in Andover, MA, keeping NH in mind )

I don't think you can tell. It would be nice to know who were blogger lookers and who were not.

Not from the stats... but you can glean some insight from who commented, liked, or reblogged.

I do not believe there is a way. Short URL clicks will at least tell you if the places you've shared it out via the short URL have had traffic.

It depends on where the blog is hosted, whether statistics are captured, whether they are available to the user, among other factors.

Unfortunately these stats do not tell us much, but at least you got 120 views from someone.

Missy, Sometimes I wonder if some of the registered hits are search bots. The timing is often odd.
