That's lower than I expected.  Odd that the CDC would have that stat though.  I wouldn't consider D-I-V-O-R-C-E a disease (just a classic country song).

What was I thinking , I should have become a divorce attorney where one out of every two people (or is it 2 out of 4 ?) would be my client !

''The national divorce rate is about 50 percent. In California, it's 60 percent. '' but most couples live without registration or separate without filing, so my guess, Los Angeles is the highest among all states on that %.

I find that very surprising ... it was 50% and more for so many years. Maybe people are starting to figure it all out or just stay married because the cannot afford to divorce.  But why does the CDC track divorce ratte?

Conrad,

I am impressd that the level is declining.

My Wife Anne and I will be celebrating our 8th year of Marriage on July27th.

Guess we are increasing the odds that other couples will stay married longer.

In fact, we are parters in our Real estate Business, The Middleman Team.

On December 22, 2015 we joined Keller Williams of Greater Nassau. Fantsatic organization.

Ww are actuall teaching our first Class on CO-OPS/Condos on May 9th. Come on By.

Like anything in life possessinga Positive (Growth) Mindset is key to staying married.

Daily communication and respect win the day.

The 40% that are divorced need to accept responsibility for being in that place.

This is not our first marriage

The Bible says, "God hates divorce" (book of Malachi).   Jesus Christ commanded, "Let no man put asunder what God has joined together" (book of Matthew).

Yet, the divorce rate among so-called Christians is as high or higher than other people.
