No. I use email marketing to get clients and sell products for my business. Outside of social media, it's the only way I market.
The stats show email is highly effective. It returns $39 for every $1 spent.

The challenge these days is even getting your message opened!
What I hate is opting in for a free report then getting blasted with emails every single day!!! I know the trick so I have a junk mail address for these instances and the daily emails usually get deleted without being opened.
The best strategy is to send something of true value less often.

Ashley,
I would not throw out the baby with the bathwater. What works in one geographic area may not work in another, Every form of marketing works in different communities. You just have to do some research to figure that one out. A

Do YOU still use email. If yes, that portal of marketing is not going away anytime soon.
Marketing statistics show that even though we all profess to be haters of email marketing, there IS a whole lot of clicking going on.
Most base their success and failure of email marketing from using services like MailChimp. 80% of email filters will sideline ALL mail from the monkey. Not a valide test to determine if e-mail marketing is a success of failure, only a measure of the monkey's effectiveness.

If done personally and not with attachments that folks are afraid to open, it probably will remain viable. I read emails written directly to us with a personal message but delete listing announcements or anything with something to click.
I would be interested in what AR users choose as an alternative.

As a Realtor that gets 25-50 marketing emails a day, no. It doesn't work for the people doing it to me. I do think there is a space for it with the general public though. Drip campaigns still exist for a reason.

I continue to do email marketing while incoprating other means. For example, I am working more on marketing on twitter, linked in, FB, and periscope by giving valuable information to fellow realtors and prospects.

I do not believe it is. I do believe you have to have it tailored to your audience, make it meaningful and thoughtful, and have some value to the recipients. Also, I feel you need to resist the urge to send anything and everything. That is what Facebook and other social media platforms are for.
716,819
5,117,798
I don't... A good amount of my business comes to me from internet leads, many of whom I can only "market" via email.
3,744,645
Good question! I think it is losing it's effectiveness because it's being overused and abused. I get so much listing spam everyday, and I zap them all without opening.

If the way I respond to email marketing is any indication, yes...I'm over it. I hate my inbox being clogged with unsolicited offers and updates from tons of people.
