I am originally from Richmond, VA and have spent many years living on the Outer Banks during the summers and now it has been my permanent home since 2002. I have a degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, concentration in Real Estate & Urban Land Development, after which I worked in the property management field as well as banking. I have been a full time Realtor in the Outer Banks Real Estate market since 2003. Since then I have seen the ebb and flow of the Outer Banks Real Estate market from top to bottom and now back up. Matt did a tremendous job in helping us turn our dream into a reality. From the initial meeting through closing and beyond, Matt has been extremely helpful. He made sure we thoroughly understood the market conditions, the general trend, as well as the potential to generate rental income from various properties. He understood our situation in terms of wants/needs, budget, need for turn-key vs. fix-'er up, and was able to steer us in the right direction. He sent countless listings via email and answered all of our questions in a thoughtful and meaningful way. As we continued to deliberate and change our minds/needs, Matt remained patient and never put us under any pressure to make a decision. He ended up showing us a lot of properties (some multiple times) and eventually helped us make a great decision for our family.

"We starting thinking about buying a house in OBX as an investment property a few years ago. Ten months ago, we got serious and started cruising the MLS listings and various realtors' web sites. Some sites required signing up with contact information. We were reluctant to do that because we knew we'd be hounded by those realtors as soon as we signed up.
