Latest news on the Indian Trail real estate market in May 2022...What you need to know...What it means for you... Indian Trail area (28079 zip code), which includes the towns of Indian Trail, Stallings, Hemby Bridge in Union County, remained a home seller's market in May 2022, despite all the talk of a market correction.  It's been more than six years since Indian Trail could be considered a balanced market, much less a home buyer's market. Average home prices increased 32.5% year-over-year, setting a new record.  Average days on market also dropped in May. Pending sales also decreased 12.4% year-over-year, while closed sales increased 7.4%.  HOMES WITH BASEMENTS IN THE GREATER CHARLOTTE AREA Homes with basements are the exception rather than the norm in the Greater Charlotte area. This has to do with our red clay earth, which is not conducive to building homes with inground basements. Our basements are generally what we call, daylight, walk-out basements, which means you need a lot that allows enough height to build an additional level in the home.
