I have been in the Real Estate industry for about 3 years now, and I love it. Until recently I was just an investor, but I do have my Salesperson License now. In my time in the industry I have focused mainly on short sales. I have closed many short sale deals and helped many people out of terrible situations. As an investor, I bought and sold properties to make money and help people escape a tremendous financial burden. As an agent I plan to do the same thing, but on a bigger scale (see Focus section below).
In addition to be a licensed salesperson, I also buy Commercial Investment Properties, primarily Mobile Home Parks and Self Storage Facilities (see website at www.JDMCapital.com). In addition to being a Commercial Investor, I am also a Commercial Loan Consultant with Dividend America here in Atlanta (www.DividendAmerica.com).
Hopefully by now it is apparent that with how much I do related to real estate, it shows how much I love it, and how I line myself up to make money in almost any situation, whether Buying, Selling, Investing or Lending.
I primarily focus on short sales. I love short sales in that it's a win-win situation for all parties involved, and I like win-win situations. I know a lot of people can't stand short sales...and I also know why. But personally I am ok dealing with all the hassle involved with a short sale becuase in the end, if the transaction is closed, the homeowner keeps a foreclosure off of their credit and they can feel good about that. In addition, most of the time, 2 agents and a closing attorney made money as a result of the transaction and the new homeowner most likely got a great deal on their new home. That's a situation I can feel good about, even though along the way it could have been real easy to give up on the transaction.
