Get to know Donald Bucci
Donald Bucci is a loan officer whose career in the mortgage and real estate industry began in 1995. For the past 7 years he has been originating conventional, FHA, VA and USDA home mortgages. Additionally, he currently manages the Reverse Mortgage Division at the Richmond branch of Dominion Mortgage Corporation, a mortgage brokerage in Virginia. Previous to pursuing a career in mortgage origination, Mr. Bucci served as Chief Operations Officer at a technology-based mortgage services company focused on saving homeowners money on their mortgage expenses.
Prior to his experiences in the mortgage industry, Mr. Bucci spent nearly 8 years in Real Estate. Most recently he devoted over 5 years to the Richmond Association of REALTORS serving as the VP of Technology & Multiple Listing Service (MLS) Operations. Leading up to his role at the Association, Donald had been the corporate trainer for a proprietary MLS database development company, where he provided software training presentations to REALTORS and REALTOR associations in the US and Canada.
Mr. Bucci has earned his BA (Major: Russian & Soviet Studies, Minor: Education) from Wesleyan University, as well as both his state teaching certification (Wesleyan University) and military instructor training certification (US Army, Ft Devens). He is a member of the National Notary Association and has recently successfully completed "Comprehending State and Federal Mortgage Lending Laws." He keeps busy with his wife raising their two children and as an active member in his neighborhood community association leadership.
Mr. Bucci's experience has involved closing all manner of mortgage loans (e.g. FHA, VA, conventional, Reverse Mortgage, etc.) across a wide demographic range. And while he enjoys serving borrowers who 'know the ropes' of mortgage lending, his specialty is with the inexperienced borrower. Whether working with the first-time home buyer who may be overwhelmed but eager to understand the process of buying his/her first home, or with a senior who requires especially patient and clear explanations in understanding how his/her reverse mortgage will work, Don's training and experience in education provides him with the tools necessary to make his borrowers' path to closing clear and comfortable, rather than confusing and uncertain. Don's goal is to enable his clients to become well-informed borrowers, confident that their financing is on track, that they are making the right financing decision and who, as a result, enthusiastically become lifelong referral sources for Don and his professional partners.
