Anya for Bark Leader - Read the Article in the Bryan - College Station Eagle     Anya & I were honored to be interviewed yesterday for an article in the Bryan-College Station Eagle to share our story about her adoption and experience last year in the Bark Leader Campaign for the Aggieland Humane Society.   As Anya is the reigning Alpha Bark Leader for the Aggieland Humane Society, we decided to campaign again this year to continue our support of the Aggieland Humane Society, without whom Anya would not be a part of my life today.   If you would like to support Anya for her second year as an Aggieland Humane Society Bark Leader, you can "cast your vote" now by making an online donation to the Aggieland Humane Society. All proceeds received are tax deductible and go directly to the Aggiel...

Here in Aggieland, football is a BIG deal! All the way from pee wee leagues to our Fightin' Texas Aggies, we love to see the players give their all each week on whichever field they play.    Our beloved Aggie Football is upon us next week, and we have some helpful information about traffic around Kyle Field. This comes from our friends at the Bryan/College Station Convention and Visitors Bureau.      To ease traffic buildup, Wellborn Road will be rerouted south after each game. To stay ahead of traffic updates, find pedestrian maps, the closest entrance to your seat, and more, download the Destination Aggieland app! This is available to download for FREE in the apple or android store. Check it out! It will make your Saturdays in Aggieland so much easier.   Stay tuned to our blog thro...

Our EA, Nicole, and her husband, Patrick, recently decided to foster a cat through Long Way Home Adoptables & Friends, a pet rescue organization located in College Station, TX. Read her story and find out a simple way you can help Long Way Home TODAY at the end. Working at Bryan Broadcasting, home of Candy 95 and WTAW 1620, gives Patrick the opportunity to hear about many local organizations. We attend several benefits and balls each year and realize the importance of charity in our community and beyond. Many of Patrick's coworkers own rescue animals, and we've heard about Long Way Home for a good while now. They go on air every so often to talk about their available animals and we know what a great opportunity they provide to animals who may not be able to make it in the very full loca...

After the 2011 Cotton Bowl, LSU and Texas A&M have recognized one another as heavy competitors. And now, with the shift of A&M to the SEC, there are talks of the two teams meeting for an annual thanksgiving showdown. This would not only spur SEC revenue and publicity, but it would also provide a smooth means for Texas A&M to assimilate and contribute to the SEC competitive environment. Football, however, is not the only means of comparison between universities, and a review of the two schools history, traditions, mascots, colors, etc. can help provide a better ground on which to examine the two potential rivals (see statistics in article). While both are old and large schools and rich with culture and tradition, it is A&M that is excited about the movement into the SEC where they will h...

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to team up with some of my Connective Realty sister agents and several  ABWA (American Business Women's Association) friends to Walk for the Cure.  It was a beautiful crisp fall morning in College Station, Texas and we set out on our two mile journey.  Both of my granddaughters joined in to find a cure for this disease.  This disease has affected my family for many years.  My grandmother and Uncle Rick have already lost their battle with the disease and now two other uncles are facing the disease. Each year, teams across America join hands to raise awareness and funds to find a cure for this and many other diseases.  Each of you have personal connections to many different causes.  I ask each Realtor out there to find a cause that has meaning for you and ...

It's the first game day of the 2011 Football season in Aggieland! Tonight the Texas Aggies are going to battle SMU. Tickets for tonight's game have been sold out for a while, so unfortunately I don't get to go to the game. So, I decided to share last year's opening game experience with you instead. The day started with a good old fashioned tailgate at Texas A&M. Since it was also an evening game last year, we spent quite a while out at the tailgate site. Holt brought some of his homebrew, Curt was our master chef, and lots of relaxing and games of washers ensued. This photo is of me and two of my best friends, Sheree and Erin. The three of us were roommates years ago, and are still best friends even though we all live hours apart from each other today.         After the tailgate, we wal...
