I had the distinct pleasure of attending a sales meeting last week at our newest office in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania.  Located in the historic Freeman Nut Factory Building, this office serves the lower Montgomery County, Northwest Philadelphia and Main Line markets.  You can find us at: RE/MAX Realty Group | 441 E. Hector St., Suite 200, Conshohocken, PA | 610-828-6300  The building itself is a remarkable renovation of an historic factory building in the heart of Chonshohoken Borough.  The old factory store signs have faded over the decades, and are now beautiful reminders of the mills and factories that used to populate this borough.  For those of you not familiar with Conshohocken (or Conshy, as it's affectionately known), the name comes from the Lenape Indian word for "pleasant vall...

Growing up on the Main Line, and attending Lower Merion, Conshohocken was always known as "Conshy" to us locals.  Classmates were referred to as "Those Conshy folk" and the general consensus was that it was not the best place to live, due to a large industrial neighborhood.  Fast forward 25 years, and a lot has changed.  Conshohocken is the new Manayunk of the Main Line, a "walking town" so to speak, which I wish there were more of!Compared to Lower Merion, Conshohocken is a steal, but if you want to buy, keep a sharp eye out.  There aren't as many homes for sale as in the LM Township area.  A total of only 79 homes sold in the first half of 2007, with the average days on market (DOM) just 48 days, nearly half that of Lower Merion and Radnor. The lowest sales price was $121,500 with the ...
