Fishhawk Lake is teeming with possibilities for wildlife videos and I get lucky now and then being there at the right time!This Great Blue Heron was hanging out at the main dock by the Community Lodge at Fishhawk Lake. I could tell that it was more interested in food than me being across the lake shooting video. He is less shy than some I've seen in the past up here. When I shot this, I was quite far away, and didn't know what he'd caught til I viewed the video. Building Intention to Create an Offer A Lesson from a Realtor/Seller We have "sold" (sale pending) our luxury lakefront home on Fishhawk Lake....not an easy task for a number of reasons. First, as a realtor, it was the largest and most expensive home on Fishhawk Lake. Overbuilt? Quite possibly. Incredible location? Most definitely. Willing seller? Well, that took some emotional releasing on my part...building an intention to create the right energy for a willing buyer to come along. What I discovered is that I had to really "let go" of my attachment to this wonderful home that I have loved so dearly for the last five years. Fishhawk Lake Real Estate-Labor Day Sale Pending! Today I spent about 2 and a half hours with a new buyer and her mom, (who is ALSO interested in buying property at Fishhawk Lake), after showing her only three homes she made an offer that has been accepted! Labor Day, was "labor" day, but hey, I'm so happy for the seller and the buyer who will be living here full time in a brand new home built by a local (and fabulous) builder. It is a lovely 3 bedroom, 2 bath home for only $169,000! Fishhawk Lake-Catering to the Pups!When showing property at Fishhawk Lake to prospective clients it's always a pleasure to find out that the buyers own dogs. I like to find out what kind of breed, what they like to do with them, if they're water dogs, or lap dogs, or or or...the list goes on.Being a dog lover and dog owner, often the wishlist items include catering to them. If they are water dogs, the potential buyers might want lakefront. If they are dogs that will run rampant throughout the home (like my Goldens), then flooring might be important. I have readily invited buyers to bring their dogs along with us on our tour. Enjoy the Process Not Just the Paycheck  I recall the first check that I got after my principal broker and mentor allowed me to be a buyer's agent on a tiny purchase of a lot. I think my first paycheck was all of $300! BUT--I was ecstatic! My first sale! Woohoo! Fishhawk Lake Real Estate the Many Versions of the Fishhawk Lake SymbolI am fascinated by our symbol that carries through our community taking on different forms. Here are some pictures, and I did some studying on the artform of this symbol. This one was imprinted in stone on a pathway by a home that I was photographing for a possible future listing. This used to be our Fishhawk Lake sign. It no longer carries the  verbiage "Fishhawk Lake Estates". This was a vase that I acquired when I sold the listing and now sits on my mantel. I don't know who created the original art but it feels somewhat similar to Inuit art.The Inuits are the aboriginal peoples of Canada, Greenland and Alaska.
