I was recently featured in the Walton Sun Newspaper as I was digging in the sand during a beach boot camp with my fellow workout partners.  We meet four times a week for a beach workout that is killer.  We start with heavy ropes walking to the beach in Grayton (about a mile) and those without the ropes have to carry medicine balls 15 pounds or more.  Then we run -- balls ahead of the ropes, then ropes ahead of the balls.  It isn't easy.  It is a lot easier on the bike lane than it is in the sand.  Once in the sand we have to do the heave and retrieve.  More like I feel like heaving.  It is hot and difficult.  But being one of the oldest women in the class I try to keep up with my younger role models.  So there I am heaving and retrieving a 16 pound medicine ball in the sand.  Once we do...

  "Half Life" by John Hollan When I first walked into John and Deah Hollan's home in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, I was struck by the exciting decor and contemporary flair.  I remember strolling into the living room, my eyes big and my smile bigger.  I turned to my right and then my jaw dropped.  There was one of the most beautiful paintings I had ever seen.  I exclaimed that I "loved" it and was truly moved!  My mother was an artist so I have always appreciated art and the creation of it.  John said he had painted it, as he had several others around the home.  I sold John and Deah's home in Pelican Bay a few months later, and they honored me by presenting  the painting to me as a "thank you".  I actually got misty-eyed at the closing to have received something so beautiful and meaningful...

After 3 days of being with 3 different sets of buyers this past weekend, I can only tell you that I am learning the market so well.  The more you know the inventory the better.  I worked with a house buyer on Friday, a condo buyer on Saturday, and another home buyer on Sunday.  Nothing on paper yet, but they will.  They each had to go back home think about the options, talk with their lenders (which are closed today) and then move ahead from there.  The market is definately showing good signs of picking up.  Occupancy rates in the area were also up over Valentine's Day weekend. What is down is me.  I woke this morning with a fever, the chills, and have had to stay close by to the bathroom if you know what I mean. I had a lot of follow up work to do today and great expectations of myself...
