The elk are bugling already in Keene Ranch subdivision Castle Rock Colorado When the elk start bugling, it's usually considered a "fall thing". We heard our first bugling here in Keene Ranch over a week ago, if you can believe that! My first thought: oh, no! It's too early for that already. Reminds me of a game we used to play when we were little: "ready or not, here I come"! I'm going to miss driving home and seeing the deer nibbling on the horse mint (my favorite wild flower in Keene Ranch!)
