I am with a large privately owned brokerage and each office is equipped with several work stations with desktop computers but no one is provided with laptops.  I work at home 99.99999% of the time, but it is nice when I am in the office to have access to everything without lugging my laptop around, thanks to the office computers and the cloud.

We had 8 computers and 4 printers in the common network and although this usually proved excellent when popping into the office there was some abuse and invariably no concern or reporting system when they broke down or otherwise became unusable. I recommend strict user guidelines plus a login and password protected system for each user to alleviate problems.  

I only worked for one office where the computers were provided. At most offices I see, it's bring your own computer. 

I'd be surprised if any companies supply computers for their agents.

It is very important to have computers in conference rooms. The overhead displays for showing listings to prospects are very effective.

My RE/MAX office has many computers for common use but does not provide computers for the individual agents.
