Just so you know- "I"m the Don King without the big hair!" Every time I am introduced I get comments on my name so I just roll with it. He certainly is notorious.
Having served as a pastor for 41 years my natural desire is to be of service to people in any way that I can. Among the experiences I have had is helping people make important decisions during those times when life gets tough. I understand the importance of effective communication. As a realtor I excell at keeping my clients informed throughout the process of buying or selling a home.
As you might understand integrity is important to me. One of my goals as a realtor is to conduct myself in such a way that my clients know they can trust me. I study the market constantly and am committed to being a real estate expert in the area where I serve. I continue to serve my community by teaching a parenting class for fathers in area correctional facilities. This teaching is done as a volunteer.
The satisfaction of my clients is my success.
Donald King was born and raised in Ohio where he met his wife, Shirley, while both were in high school. They have two Children; a son, Scott, and a daughter, Michelle. Both are married and each have blessed them with a grandson and granddaughter.
Donald is a graduate of South Zanesville High School, Olivet Nazarene University and Nazarene Theological Seminary. He earned a doctorate there in 1986. He was active in Rotary International for over thirty years were he served as president of one club and founder and president of another. His hobbies included sports, gardening and traveling.
After serving as a senior pastor in the Church of the Nazarene for forty-one years he located in Overland Park, Kansas, to be near family. He became the founder of Heart Touch Inc. to lead family relationship seminars. He has worked with the court system in Johnson County teaching a remedial training seminar for dads. He has taught this seminar at Johnson County Corrections, Douglas County Jail, and Lansing State Corrections.
He is now a full time Real Estate Sales Associate at Keller Williams serving in the Kansas City area. Given his background of ministry his philosophy of assisting persons with their real estate needs is a firm conviction that, "Service is more than a word; it is a lifestyle." He is committed to helping their vision of home become a reality.
His focus is on professional, efficient processing of all transactions in a timely manner. He brings to the table a lifetime of experience in assisting persons in times of critical decision making and working through emotional pressure.

Serving My Clients:
In securing clients for my real estate business I market myself to my circles of influence, my defined farm and persistently seek to assist owners whose listings have expired. I also introduce myself to those who attempt to sell their house themselves, preview their property when permitted in order to know what is on the market in my defined area of service. Should the time come when owners choose to list their house with a qualified agent I share my marketing plans during a pre-listing appoint, give them the opportunity of getting to know me and determine if I am the agent their want to hire to get their home sold.
The decision to sell or buy a home is one of great magnitude since it involves what may be a persons largest investment. For this reason I take the responsibility of being either a buyer's agent or seller's agent very seriously.When seeking to work for sellers I schedule a pre-listing appointment at which time I outline the selling process in detail, share my marketing plan, the tools I use to draw attention to their listing and my pricing strategy. A major part of my marketing plan is the use of the Internet. This includes my own website (www.kingservicerealty.com) and a variety of real estate websites including realtor.com enhanced listings. I encourage my clients to list for competition not negotiation. This is especially true in today's changing market.
I get in touch with buyers primarily though my COI, sign calls and open house guests. My knowledge of the market, in-depth research, sensitivity to their wishes and desires, diligent work to find the house that will fulfill their vision for their home and efficient management of the buying process enable me to provide the highest level of professional service to my buyer clients.
My years of experience helping persons make life shaping decisions many times in very stressful situations enable me to provide outstanding service both to sellers and buyers. Effective, consistent communication through-out the transaction process is both my earnest commitment and personal skill. My clients all compliment me for keeping them informed and assuring them of success in reaching their goals. I am also committed to working respectfully and honorably with all coop agents involved in each situation.
