As Realtors, we are taking social-distancing very seriously! It is getting to a point where almost everyone knows someone who has been affected by this virus. Even during these difficult times, buyers still need to find a home. We are trying to come up with various ways to get people to see homes without actually being at the home. I have put together a video of my model home in Rockland for our future projects in Rockland & Embrun.
This is one way to get people to still see a home without a physical visit to the home.

The Ottawa Real Estate Board has just released the stats for January 2020. What are you seeing in your area? Are you seeing homes selling quickly or are they sitting on the market for a while?
As you can see in this video the number of homes sold in Ottawa is a bit less than expected. We think that because of the low inventory, it's normal to see fewer transactions. It feels like the Spring market has arrived in the Ottawa area! We are seeing homes hit the market and they are gone within a few days of being on the market. We are expecting a similar market to last year where we were seeing a lot of multiple offers and homes selling for more than asking.

The Ottawa Real Estate market is still pretty active, considering we are now in November.
During the month of October 2018, there were 1,383 residential properties sold in Ottawa. In October 2017, there were 1,237 transactions, which means an increase of 11.8% over last year. The breakdown of Residential to Condo is 1,223 vs 324 for condos.
What are you seeing in your neighborhood?
The average price of a residential home in Ottawa is $449,005 and the average condo price is $271,350. The prices keep increasing which means a very solid market.

We had our last open house yesterday at 2382 Marble Crescent in Rockland. It was sold a few months ago to some wonderful clients who will certainly enjoy their new home. For some reason, they don't want me to continue hosting open houses in their new home. Go figure!
No worries, we should have another model home shortly as C H Clement is continuing to build more townhouses. The next model home should be available in the next few weeks where I will be able to showcase our beautiful townhouses for our project in Russell.
