Blues for the Burn is hosting a fun night this Friday August 29, 2014 starting at 7pm until 11pm. Local acts take the stage first and then watch out for Too Slim and the Taildraggers.   The Blues for the Burn is a fun evening at the Winthrop Barn this Friday night starting at 7pm and going to 11pm.  The gig is to benefit victims of the Carlton Complex Fire, an historic event taking out 315 homes, followed by the Signal Hill Fire taking 10 more homes.  The next day wind blew down big trees knocking out at least two more homes. Then the heavy rains came and caused flooding and mud slides taking out 10 more homes. Egads what next?  Donations are suggested at 20 dollars per person and all proceeds go directly to victims. Tim has something there with his Last Train erily prophetic.  Here is ...

We can watch this category to see if there is more increased movement next month for new listings in the Methow Valley real estate market early spring 2013. The January 2013 Methow Valley real estate market reports are just in and the improving market continues. We are now going to be comparing results from here with a much higher base line since 2012 started to show a marked improvement in real estate sales. Will this Methow Valley real estate market continue to improve? I hope so because it is good for both buyers and sellers and the economy as well. Methow Valley Sellers better understand market conditions when they have sales data available to them, while Methow Valley Buyers continue to enjoy great values.   The reports for Methow sales for October are mixed in 2012. On closer inspection however the news continues to be good.  This is because we have a very low sample size so a slight change will cause a dramatic change in our percentages. What is very telling is the unusual increase in inventory for October 2012 as compared to last year this month, this quarter compared to last years quarter and from the previous month.  October is typically when we note a decrease in inventory  because one of the main arteries to the valley shuts down ever winter due to snow. Today the North Cascades Highway is officially closed for Winter. Yet in Octoberr we have seen an increase in inventory, perhaps signally seller confidence.
