Low mortgage interest rates boosted pending home sales for the third consecutive month, with some benefit now from the first-time buyer tax credit, according to the latest numbers. "Housing affordability conditions have been at historic highs, but now the $8,000 first-time buyer tax credit is beginning to impact the market," he said. Today is the beginning of the end of the old lodge. Demo begins today on the lodge. The demo project should last 2 weeks to a month. Lenders will consider an appeal, but sellers must provide them with evidence.Start by examining the appraisal carefully for errors.   The national news this morning had more good news for our industry. They reported that the National Association of Realtors reported yesterday its seasonally adjusted index of sales contracts signed in April increased by 6.7% which far exceeding analysts forecasts. Its the biggest monthly jump since October 2001, and pending sales rose 9.2 percent. They indicated rates remaining low and the $8,000 tax credit is what continues to be the motivator and may signal the slump is ending.
