Mesquite NV Pest ControlMesquite NV Pest Control - One of my 'jobs' as a Mesquite NV real estate agent is to take care of some of the move-in details for my home buyers.  One important detail is to spray for pest control.  Mesquite is in the Nevada desert and we do have pests here.  I'm not talking about the neighbor kid riding his bike across the petunias or picking one of your pride and joy cactus blooms.  I am talking about bugs - after all, it is a desert out there - we need some pest control and prevention. Most new home builders spray for termites before they pour the concrete but that does not help with other pest prevention. Putting is half of the game of golf, is that right?  At Sun City Mesquite 55 + community for active adults in Mesquite Nv, residents have their own 18 Hole Putting Green.  Not part of the Conestoga Golf Course, this is a feature for residents only.  The first time I tried it, I thought "Cool, like miniature golf!"  Not hardly it is a tough exercise in skill, or in my case, lack of skill.  Fun, but hard. Moving to Mesquite Nevada - these guys do a wonderful job moving your furniture. You might need a truck unloaded or loaded, or maybe just move some stuff in from storage.  Whether you need a big job or just want to move your furniture around the house ... Sometimes I will have buyers who build a new home and put their furniture in storage until it is done, I usually recommend a mover, it is much more work than it looks like!   These guys are the ones to call in Mesquite.  I called Jose and Ruben to pick up and deliver a piece of furniture for me, they were quick and careful.  They are happy to do small jobs, but will move you anywhere in the state of Nevada.  Next time I decide to re arrange all the furniture in my house, I think I will send my husband to the movies and call Desert Movi... 11/01/2013

     After being closed for almost three weeks for re-seeding, the greens and fairways at Conestoga Golf Course are in fabulous condition. During the time of re-seeding, Mesquite received some much needed rain which made the course emerald green and lush. The Conestoga course weaves its way throughout Del Webb's Sun City Mesquite. Some of these homes back up to the course. Conestoga is managed by Troon Golf. Upon reopening in September the course replaced its fleet of golf carts. Here is a pic of the new carts in front of the courses signature Conestoga wagon.      Conestoga is a par 72 course spanning 7,232 challenging, yet fun, yards. Hole 2 is my favorite.      It is hard to believe that it was almost 5 short years ago when we moved to our new home in Mesquite, Nevada. We had enough winter and wanted to go someplace warmer. After exploring many parts of the country, we chose Mesquite, Nevada, or I should say Mesquite, Nevada chose us. We fell in love with the people and the location. We are in a valley surrounded by the Virgin Mountains and the Virgin River flows through town, thus adding some lush farmlands that border Mesquite. My husband and I took a walk around our Sun City neighborhood this past weekend and we loved what we saw. The new lots in the Hickory Wind subdivision have some amazing golf course views. Some of the views are of the 8th fairway and 9th green of the Conestoga Golf course. While a few of the lots have just been released for sale, the best view lots will be released late December and January. Absolutely stunning canyon, mountain, and golf course views! Chardonnay Townhomes in Mesquite NV - just right for a second home, big enough for a family.  2 car garages and huge back patios.  These are duplex style townhomes, each owner owns the home and yard on their side.  Built in 2005 and sold quickly, some folks paid as much as $230, 000 for these homes.  With the high prices in the 'boom' years and easy loans, there were a high amount of foreclosures and short sales.  The prices have dropped over the last few years and there are very few bargains left and on the market right now at about half of the original prices. One of the smallest subdivisions in Mesquite, with only 54 homes, Chardonnay is kind of a secret community.  Within is a small grassy park and an RV or boat parking lot for residents only. The Mesquite NV Real Estate Market is busy with low inventory and prices holding.  Several subdivisions are going up in price with new listings selling quickly.  Realtors have to be on the ball and notify waiting buyers as soon as a listing goes on the market.  New homes are selling at higher prices than last year, the builders are working hard to get these new homes done on time. And we are hearing from all over the country that real estate is moving - not just Mesquite NV. How do I know?  I am hearing it all the time.  And Active Rain has done a survey of members - Realtors who know their market. Cucina Italiana Ristorante- Mesquite Nevada New Italian Restaurant opened for business in July 2012 and local residents have been enjoying the great food and casual, yet elegant atmosphere.  Full bar service and formal dining room.  Feel comfortable wearing your golf attire or dress up for a lovely night out.Just went to the official Grand Opening today, fantastic! The food was wonderful, saw a lot of friends enjoying the hor d'oeuvres, fine wine and champagne.  Quite a success with a great turnout of Mesquite locals. Mesquite has "enjoyed" a hot weather streak for about 4 months.  Wednesday, I washed my car.  It rained that evening.  Thursday, I washed my dog - it rained as soon as I got him to the dog park.  Now we are waiting for a storm to hit - I see it coming from the southeast, usually I can see Scenic Arizona from here.   Just wish it were a bigger storm to help put out some of the fires threatening folks in the southwest states. And I am going to do a rain dance for my friends in the Black Forest area near Colorado Springs, CO - they are on fire watch.  :( Mesquite NV Weather - pretty predictable = sunny almost every day! 07/14/2012

Sunset Greens Gated Golf Course Community in Mesquite NV is holding their semi annual garage sale on Saturday April 21, 2012.  The Gates will be open for bargain hunters - so get there early! Sunset Greens in Mesquite NV is a community of about 700 homes - this is a large, well organized garage sale with all kinds of things for sale.  Furniture, dishes, patio furnishings, clothing, tools, knick knacks, crafts - maybe even a golf cart or two.Last year, one of my second home buyers furnished their entire home, right down to dishes and linens.  And it looked great!   Kinda fun to invite your new neighbors over for a housewarming and let them enjoy some of their previous belongings, just one more time - :)Take a cruise through the neighborhood on Saturday April 21 - I bet you will find some... 04/20/2012
