The power of photography  Intoducing Mark V. Krajnak and The Power of Photography I recently asked Mark Krajnak , a local resident here in Washington Town Center,  to do me a favor.  Would he be willing to submit an original photo to me on a weekly basis to create what I am going to call  "Photo Friday". for my outside blog "The Real Voice of New Jersey Real Estate". Now I certainly haven't invented rocket science here but I do want to tell you how Mark and I met (sort of) and how this came together. I am a huge fan of Flickr.   If you're not already aware, this is a free site to upload and share your photos with the world (if you chose to, you can also keep them private).   You can also use the site just as a storage facility to organize your photos. For a professional,  Flickr  has g...

I am pleased to report that in Robbinsville, New Jersey,  Real Estate Sales are up!!  There have been a reported 32 sales for the month of August.    This is huge since the monthly average for the year is 16.    We've doubled the closed sales in August!!!     It does appear that the pending contracts are down for the month but I believe as a professional that once kids get settled into school and everyone returns home from their summer holidays, September and October will be more banner months. If your thinking of selling, now is the time don't miss out on a great opportunity.   Timing is very important in the real estate industry.  Contact the Desiree Daniels Team at  (609) 448-2222  (home) or  (609) 587-9300  Ext 312 for all your real estate needs. Robbinsville New Jersey Little League Softball World Series Today's game World Championship Little League Softball game featured Robbinsville, New Jersey (East) vs. S. Carolina (South).    After a slow start and falling into a 2 nothing hole in the top of the first inning,  the Robbinsville girls struck for 2 runs of their own in the bottom half of the inning to tie up the score. Becca Freeman has pitched a solid 3 innings so for but after some questionable officiating has caused the girls to fall behind by 2 in the middle of the third However, heads up base running by LeAnne Gearhart as pushed a run across and Robbinsville trailed by 1 with 2 outs in the bottom of the 3rd. With runners on second and third with 2 outs, clutch pitching, and excellent defense got the girls out of a jam i...

It has happened to mostly all of us, either we have come home to our parent's home with a "significant other" or our child has brought their "significant other" to our home.  This past weekend my two boys came to see my new residence in New Jersey and the oldest, TJ, brought his girlfriend with him.   I was excited to show them the new place and cook them big meals; they loved both. When I asked them what they wanted to do, TJ said before he left he wanted to show Kelly where he grew up. Mercer County in Central New Jersey is a great place for kids.  The school systems, especially in Robbinsville Twp., formerly Washington Twp. are great.  The area has grown significantly since my kids were younger. On Sunday we made the trip to Foxmoor in Robbinsville, NJ.  On the way they pointed out l...

There are so many ways to market your house. The old conventional way is using the newspapers, especially for Sunday open houses. More and more realtors are using Craig's list, Active Rain, Facebook, and many other online services. Some of us forget about the easy to read Open House Sheets that your lender can supply you. Why do I say this?  Because we can usually attach some financing figures to the sheet so the average consumer has an idea what it might take to get into the home being mentioned. With so many different ways to finance a home still, you must have an idea, no matter how good your credit is and no matter how much income you make. In the example below, you can see that it would take about $54,900 to get into this particular home.  As a borrower, credit scores can be crit...

The History of Robbinsville - Hungry Hill  Did you know that Robbinsville had several names prior too it's most recent change?   I was aware that Robbinsville was named for a prominent resident George Robbins who served as a Congressman in the 1850s.    And I knew that prior to Robbinsville, we were know as Washington Township.  Prior to that Newtown.   Well here is  a blurb I found interesting..  How about instead of Robbinsville, New Jersey on your return address you put Hungry Hill. The name Hungry Hill conjures up all sorts of mysterious images, but it actually refers to a section of Washington Township now known as Robbinsville.   The area was originally called Hungry Hill because it was in such a remote location that residents frequently were unable to provide food to travelers pa...
