   Brick Beaches - Water Quality Tested - Gets the Thumbs Up Water Samples were taken from 77 beaches along the Jersey Shore this spring by the Ocean County Health Department. The Ocean County Utilities Authority lab has tested the water for two types of Bacteria to make sure there is no threat to beach goers. Brick's beaches were near the county's lowest recorded levels of contamination for Enterococcus bacteria and listed fecal coliform pollution. Brick's Beaches came in below 10 colony forming units of Enterococcus bacteria and Windward Beach came in at 50 colony forming units of Enterococcus bacteria per 100 ml. of water.  No fecal coliform pollution was found at any of Bricks beautiful beaches, according to county documentation.
