This weekend I got my first experience at the 'new' Indianapolis International Airport. Unfortunetly I was just picking up my aunt but her plane was delayed and I was stuck sitting in the airport for 3 hours. It looks gorgeous but my question is where's the rest of it? Indianapolis is supposed to host a Super Bowl in 2012 how are they going to do that with an airport that is only 2 small concourses big? I was there shortly after the Brickyard finished and it was getting busy I can only image how busy and crowed it is going to be during the Super Bowl time frame. Can Indianapolis lose its Super Bowl because of this airport? What are they planing to do, I'm sure I'm not the only one questioning the size of this airport. The Purdue Research Foundation announced plans Thursday for Purdue Accelerator Park at AmeriPlex- Indianapolis at the site where it will be built, near Indianapolis International Airport. The park is for up to 75 high-tech businesses that will pay employees an average annual salary of $54,000.Purdue's newest technology park will create 1,500 jobs in the state and broaden opportunities for students. The park will be a collaboration between the Purdue Research Foundation and Holladay Properties, a South Bend-based national real estate development company.
