 Sound the Alarm! Tornado Season Just Arrived in Will County - Chicagoland  As I write this ... the temperatures outside are warm .. and it's very humid.  Unusual weather to be having in Chicagoland as we head into the beginning of March. Most years, the odds of tornadoes occurring in Will County, IL and the Chicagoland region, are highest during the months of April through June.  Yet, this afternoon's weather forecast for the area predicts severe weather, possible tornadoes appearing, with hail and high winds.  This year's Will County - Chicagoland winter weather has been somewhat unusual (2017).  We've already experienced days of spring-like weather during the month of February.  It's been so warm that buds are already sprouting on the willow tree at our Lockport home.Weather.com repo...

Tips on How to Protect Your Home and Family         Last week, we had a bit of excitement in our neighborhood.  Someone tried to break into multiple homes during the middle of the night ...     Our neighborhood's not known for having such problems.  The police reported it had been years since there'd been any calls received from the area.       We're all lucky.  No actual entry was made in any homes.  No one was hurt.  Nothing was taken.  We're all thankful for that.     We're also lucky because our neighborhood is fairly tight-knit.  Talk about this incident spread fast and info got exchanged quickly.       Many of us have security systems.  Because of that, the police now have a variety of good pictures of our "visitor".
