Since we aren’t seeing a cool down of the heatwave in LA, let’s cool down the recession talk especially if you are a Real Estate  Professional or are in any Real Estate “related” or “ancillary” field such as Lenders. I personally find that this is the most counter-productive attempt at getting attention for the wrong reasons. In case you are wondering, this post was inspired by, or should I say is in response to, a “featured” Active Rain post.  And in my opinion it should not have been. Rather, this post should have found its own natural death by a lack of support and  lack of comments from the Active Rain community, but what do I know. To be clear, this is not a political post, simply a response to a great deal of bad information the featured post was providing. In actuality, there has...

Time Flies! Looking Back on Ten Years A Perspective by Endre Barath, Jr. Beverly Hills, Pet Friendly Realtor POSTED  BY ENDRE BARATH IN ACTIVE RAIN, AUTHORS, BEVERLY HILLS, ENDRE BARATH, OBSERVATIONS ABOUT VARIOUS SUBJECTS |  This post was inspired by one of my Active Rain friends,  Jeff Dowler, CRS . Jeff asked us to reflect on and share at least 10 changes that took place in our lives during the past 10 years. Many who know me know that I am all about forward thinking and moving forward, rather than  living in or looking back at the past.  Yet, thanks to Jeff’s inspiration, I decided to journey back and see what took place the past 10 years of our lives. I am intentionally omitting the loss of both my and Diane’s parents as well as and animals and instead am focusing on “events” that...

Summer Fun in Beverly Hills, CA POSTED ON JUL 26, 2019 BY ENDRE BARATH IN ACTIVE RAIN, BEVERLY HILLS | Summer Fun in Beverly Hills, CA.Beverly Hills is considered  the  “destination place” for many people from all over the globe. Tourists come to see many “attractions”, but the number one attraction is of course ‘Rodeo Drive’. Although Rodeo Drive is about two miles long most people are only focused on about three blocks of it. That is from Santa Monica Boulevard  South to Wilshire Blvd. There was a time when the visitors would hope to run into some of the “Hollywood Celebrities”. The reality is the only celebrities you see, this part of town are the ones “who want to be seen”. Most are usually hidden behind the gates of their palatial mansions moving from point A to point B in darkene...

Happy Independence Day Happy July 4th week!  Believe it or not, 2019 is now half over. The Department Of Labor reported that the weekly initial jobless claims fell to 196,000.  This is the lowest number since 1969.  It’s worth noting that in...

There are times when one person's action causes a series of other reactions. Just to give you an idea, I checked in with one of my clients, I wanted to find out if they were going to be around the weekend? I was going to surprise them with Cupcakes from Sprinkles. As I was standing in line a discussion came about "Pupcakes" well on the spur of the moment, I decided might as well get some Pupcakes for their dog as well. As things turned out. As I was heading over to them, they canceled in the last minute. Now here I was with a dozen assorted mini cupcakes and some Pupcakes.  What was I going to do with them?  As it turned out, Diane she was goint to a dog adoption event in Brentwood. For those who are not familiar with Brentwood, it is a nice section of Los Angeles CA. So she was not only...

Instagram Punished  me @endrebarath  for being kind…No! The reason is not what you are thinking. I was not writing hundreds of posts about Real Estate No not because I was spamming people.Well let me give you a little background I have been on Instagram since August 2016 during this time I have posted 75 times. I did manage to build a following of about 960+/-  followers, since that number is fluid depending when you look up or down by 30+/- and I am following about 411 people.I do not use a third party to do any of my social media posts. All is done by me for better or worse. I decided the past two weeks that I owe it to my followers to press the “like”  or “heart” icon to show them and give them love. Now with that said you might ask so, what was “The crime” ? The crime was “too many l...

Observations on Memorial Day  Evening by a Beverly Hills Realtor Endre Barath, Jr.…Every evening, I reflect as to what went on in the day and how and what I could have done better. Generally, looking back is important to me, it allows me to figure out, how I can improve my actions and plan out the next day as well as the rest of the  week. Today was an interesting day to say the least. Not only was it Memorial Day, but it was a day the Red Sox were on National TV and I was excited to watch them, not only to play, but see them win a game as well. In spite of this good fortune, I was pensive as I reflected about all the soldiers that gave their lives for our freedom. I heard that in Los Angeles alone there are 88,000 graves that are the  home to those who gave their lives for our freedom…...

Memorial Day: All gave some and some gave all!!Memorial Day: is all about remembering those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. I have written many a post over the years about this subject. One thing always has annoyed me when so many people confuse Memorial Day with Veterans Day. There is a huge difference,’ Memorial Day’ is remembering   those  soldiers who gave it ALL,  in other words, their lives, just so we can enjoy our freedom.Clearly, I do not like it when people think it is about eating burgers, and barbequing. Equally I do not like it when people who think they are being gracious by saying to  veterans “Thank You”! Thank them on Veterans Day! Recognize the difference between the two Federal Holidays is a much more meaningful way of thanking them.So if you want to g...

Well, most of you who read my Blog post consistently know we have fine taste and a love for our animals, nothing is too good for them....Many years ago, Diane and I traveled to Hungary and went to the Herend Porcelain factory. World re-known and super expensive. One of the items we picked up was for our dog Jezebel. Our intent was to use it for either food or a water dish...Well many years later Jezebel is long at Rainbow Bridge and we still have the dish. So we thought Holly is about the same size as Jezebel was, hence the dish reappears.Needless to say see for your self, she prefers old fashioned spoiling, i.e.: eating out of my hand twice a day instead of having the kibble in the bowl.If you are lookig for a pet friendly Beverly Hills Realtor who will spoil you and have you eating ou...

Why is it important to treat others the way you want to be treated? My take is that, the results tend to have a more favorable outcome. If the ride is bumpy or smooth, the finish often can make or break a continued long-term relationship. In my experience as a Beverly Hills Realtor, if we ended with a smooth finish the clients remained  long-term clients. On the other hand, if the ending was not smooth, we did not get referrals, nor accolades, even if it was not our fault.   As some of you who have been reading my post about my Lexus RX 350 know, that I had to go to the dealership. Now with that said, let me continue the story since Debra Leisek     was very interested how it turned out.I bought the car in 2014, the salesperson was very nice and programed into the navigation the location...

What is your business style? Mine consists of Integrity, Patience and Solid but Fair Advice to my clients! As a  Beverly Hills Realtor I find, that I am often faced with challenges and I have always taken the issues on with integrity, patience and fairness or better stated with kindness that benefits the clients. There are other professionals in different business that do the same, while others do  not. What category do you fall into?Just to let you know, this post was inspired by events that took place today. A few days ago, I noticed that the “oil change” notice came on my Lexus RX 350. Now with that said I said, “note to self I need to call my trusted mechanic” Next day, I started hearing some unusual noise from the engine when accelerating. Clearly, this sound did not sound or feel go...

".... Our Prime Purpose in this life is to help others and if you can not help then at least don't hurt them.." Dalai LamaAs a Beverly Hills Realtor this quote or should I say message really resonated with me. Hence I wanted to share and all  Realtors should take this message and follow... or at least pass it on! "...The Best way to predict  your future is to create it..." Abraham Lincoln  Needless to say this message equally resonated with me. Do not listen to "gurus" just create your future, honest it can be done!    If you are looking for a knowledgeable, focused and goal-oriented Realtor in the Beverly Hills area who will help you achieve your Real Estate goals, please reach out to me directly! The Beverly Hills Single Family Market Trends Report is published...Most people take for granted that Beverly Hills is the home to many affluent residents. Interestingly what many do not know is that Beverly Hills is world renown for having a great School System as well. This in turn generates man families that want their children to go to the Beverly Hills Schools. One of the requirements is that you have to be a resident at least six months prior to the school years start. This in turn creates many potential sales and lease transactions prior to the beginning of the school year. Now with that small tidbit let us look at the Market Trends! As you can see inventory has increased dramatically compared to last year when it comes to Month over Month comparisons. I am a huge fan of going bac...

Breaking News, well for some people Redfin & Re/Max have….Red Flags if I ever saw!!!!Basically, Redfin and Re/Max have joined,  or should I say created an exclusive Referral Relationship. According to RISEMEDIA, this is a  Referral Relationships between Re/Max Canada and Redfin United States. On the surface you would say: sow  what is the big deal?Well just to be clear Re/Max Canada virtually the entire country will be exclusively a Redfin Referral Partner. Now this is where it gets interesting, just to be clear I have many friends and Referral Partners who happen to be affiliated with Re/Max all over the Globe. As a Berkshire Hathaway Beverly Hills Realtor, no one tells me who I “must work with,” no one forces me to have a mandatory “referral relationship” with. The focus is on for me t...

Happy St Patrick’s Day to all: Please have fun and be safe!!! Having lived in Boston, MA for about ten plus years, I have learned to appreciate the Irish Tradition and the happy  go lucky fun way to celebrate St. Paddy’s Day. There were always Parades, the politicians and the locals would have a great time either marching or watching the Parade go by their homes.People would go to the Pubs after the Parade and every one had “stories” to share, well you know how things were in the “old country” now keep in mind sixty per cent of these great story tellers never been to the “Old Country” never the less it was fun times listening to the “stories”😊! Well, you heard of the “Luck of the Irish” General Douglas MacArthur had this to say: "The best luck of all is the luck you make for yourself." ...

There are some things that are sacred in my book, what are sacred in your book?As well as what are  your thoughts about this subject?Just to give you a background this post was inspired by a dinner conversation I had tonight. I understand about the fact that Catholic Priests keep secrets what they have learned in confession and go to the grave with it, without disclosing any of it. I know Attorneys take clients and cases and  they never disclose the discussions they had with their clients as well as the material facts that they are aware of,  due to attorney client privilege. As Realtors we know thing that are pertinent to a sale, but we are not allowed to disclose due to our fiduciary relationship with our clients. This has been engrained to me all my life. Needless to say, I have lear...

The Ultra Luxury Market in the Greater Los Angeles area, check it out…Seldom do I write about the ultra-luxury  real estate market in the greater Los Angeles area. When my clients ask, generally I send a private  market report.Due to a great deal of interest I thought it was time to show the Market Trends Report. Hard to believe that in California currently there are 27  properties that are North of $50 million List Price. And out of the 27 amazingly 23 of them happen to be in my market. Keeping in mind none of these properties are a fast sale.Usually the strongest motivation to buy is “fear of loss” let’s be honest there are about 4000 buyers around the Globe who can afford to buy in this price range. Then to boot out of that my guess is about 2500 who would actually be interested in b...

Super Bowl XXXVI and Super Bowl LIII and Real Estate there is something in common here....There are so many subjects to write about, some are Real Estate related others are not. This is about Real Estate, believe it or not. I am just a bit verbose and digress. If you get to the end of my post, you will agree. Some posts are relevant,  some are timely, and others are not. Now, with that said, did you know that Super Bowl LIII ( this one in 2019 for those who are not familiar with roman numerals  happens to be  # 53)  and interestingly, it is a rematch of  XXXVI (#36 of 2002)? Please feel free to check my math in Roman Numerals by subtracting 17 years. Scary that it was 17 years ago. To me it feels like yesterday. Anyway, back to my historical trivia, Tom Brady of the New England Patriots w...
