I have had a Vimeo account now for many years. I tend to only use the free version as I do not use a lot of videos but when I do and need an alternative to youtube this is the site to go to. I upload some other videos that I have made in other programs and have found the UI very easy and simple to use. It does feed out to other sites so I would imagine it can only do good for you SEO.
