Two Powerful Opportunities for Washington Agents Every year around this time, the pace of the world changes. As a real estate coach, I work with agents all over these United States, but here closer to home I meet every ...

Homeowners in the riskier sectors of the United States are losing their insurance coverage. However, this threat is not limited to natural disasters. Because of inflation, the cost of repairs has been rising at a greater rate than premiums.Insurance firms around the United States are minimising their exposure to homeowners' property insurance in regions prone to natural disasters such as flooding, storms, and wildfires.State Farm and Allstate recently withdrew from California's homeowner's insurance market. At the same time, AIG announced that it would lower coverage for wealthy homeowners in ZIP Codes with a high risk of floods or wildfires. Both events co-occurred.The declaration made by AIG follows prior actions taken to decrease new exposure in California. Certain homeowners in Flor...

Do you write content as a marketing tool?If so, you probably have an opinion about long copy vs. short copy. I can't tell you how many times an agent has told me they just want me to write a short agent bio for them because people won't read a whole page. It turns out that they're wrong. Perhaps some people won't read a whole page, but plenty of others will, and they’ll read more than that.As long as the content grabs and holds their interest, people will read.I started thinking about this because I have just started posting on a site called "Medium." Because I'm new to the site, I'm reading a lot about what to post there, how to do it, etc. An article I read yesterday offered up statistics I thought were interesting. The writer, Quincy Larson, stated that 8-14 word headlines get the mo...

My Buyers have been lucky and I seem to be always lucky when representing Buyers. I think I have some answers as to why.1. My Buyers always have full Loan Approval when we make an offer. Full Loan Approval. That means we have a complete loan application with all of the supporting documents, have a Desktop Underwriter approval and have submitted the loan to a lender. We have verified the down payment and its source. We have verified income - we have verified every thing on the loan application.2. I communicate with the listing Agent and try to communicate several times if possible. I try to get to know the Agent. In the back of my mind I am asking, "Is this a friendly agent? Someone we can trust and work with ? I always let the Agent know that I am the Lender and the borrowers are fully ...
