This is my entry for the 2024 September Blog 53 Word Challenge. Nick Vandekar, 610-203-4543 and I are hosting this month.  JOB DESCRIPTION OF A REALTOR® Hiring a REALTOR® matters. It is a profession unlike any other. The job is physically, emotionally, and financially demanding.Continuous education, expertise, and technical skills required.Real estate is a people’s business.Communication, integrity, and honesty is the glueThat keeps the transaction together.Without a sale, a REALTOR® does not get paid.  I learned about Press 53 Word Story at a class I took in July 2024 at Olli/UNT (University of North Texas). My first attempt for ActiveRain was writing Durable Agent in 53 Words  on August 10, 2024. It was then, I challenged others to give it a try and Nick was the only one who took up my...

Hope you had a Happy Labor Day Weekend!I am always amazed how many people are inconsiderate and text you, call you and email you early in the morning and throughout the day without apologizing and saying "hope I am not bothering you during the long weekend..." Needless to say, I respond to texts and emails and calls, not as fast as on a regular day or regular weekend, but it tells me what type of potential client I am dealing with....Just remember, those who work hard in life and never hesitate from challenges are the ones who shine the brightest! (author unknown) I was also amazed how business like Tire Shops were open during the weekend as well as Wine Stores and Grocery Stores. Needless to say, I managed to provide them with business.Yes, yesterday morning I was ready to go do some e...

Logging into apps and accounts is becoming harder and harder and yet we still are routinely hacked.  I was ecstatic when face recognition became a standard (even though it has some nefarious governmental uses)!  This SHOULD have been the end of annoying captchas and email or SMS verification. Alas, now we have an additional step!!!Once we utilize face recognition, we are still required to verify via SMS or email!! Then why bother with face recognition?  Now we have passwords, captchas, face recognition AND SMS or email verification to enter mundane sites or apps such as travel.  Not to mention that most of us fail captchas routinely. I KNOW WHAT FOUR BUSES ARE AND YET YOU FAIL ME!!! AHAHAHAHAHAH Captchas need to go away!!Despite all of this, sites and apps are being routinely hacked. Go...

For Beautiful Beckett’s birthday, her parents scored big with a surprise she’ll never forget ~ tickets to see her all-time favorite basketball star, Caitlin Clark, playing against the Dallas Wings, on her Indiana Fever team! Beckett was able to bring a friend, and proudly wore her #22 jersey! They had the time of their lives. Not only did they get to soak up the game’s electric atmosphere, but they also met NaLyssa Smith and snagged autographs from Kelsey Mitchell (who lit up the court with 36 points!) and Erica Wheeler! The Indiana Fever team won 100-93 against the Wings. The girls were over the moon, buzzing with excitement as they cheered on the Fever team, surrounded by a passionate wave of fans that traveled just to support their team!

Happy Labor Day Labor Day has always been one of my favorite holidays. When I was growing up in New York it was the LAST big party before we went back to school (usually that Thursday). It was still warm enough to go to the beach, or swimming in the pool, or staying out late with your friends! I think we need to spend just a minute thinking about the great men and woman for which we actually celebrate the holiday. Those who built the roads, bridges, tunnels. Those who built skyscrapers, taught our children and toiled in our hospitals. Those who went out every day to make America Great.  Enjoy your BBQ  :)   Jeffrey DiMuria Waves RealtyBroker/Owner2018 Melbourne Ct, suite 206Melbourne, FL 32901 Phone: 321.223.6253          e-mail:  Jeff@WavesRealtyFL.com

Portugal, Land of Simple BeautyWe are stealing a bit of time from the realities of life in America and have literally taken a step back to a pace from another era where life is meant to be enjoyed and there are other things than work.I still have family in the northern part of Portugal and have used the opportunity to have a reunion of first cousins as we are now the upper level of the family with all siblings on my father's side gone.We gathered in my cousin's condo in Chaves, Portugal to toast our parents and say a prayer and just enjoy each other's company. After the meal, well, one does have to walk off the calories and with the tradition of the city of Chaves, most appropriate. It is a city that can trace its origins to well over 2,000 years and the cobblestone streets are still qui...

She embraced me, held me close and said, “welcome home.”   The September challenge "Blog 53 Words Challenge" is being hosted by Nick Vandekar and Patricia Feager. The assignment is to write a 53 Word Story about any topic of interest. With the topic of the challenge being a wide open book, I looked out the window, picked my subject and came up with the below story.   She embraced me, held me close and said, “welcome home.”Her countenance often changed by the minuteSometimes stormy and other times calm or beautifulShe required a lot of work in terms of upkeepBut I was always rewarded for my energyI continued to love her anywayWho is she?"Montana"   That was my 53 word story. But we're not done yet! The challenge also asks us to share in at least 300 words, what we did, whether it was eas...
