  Indian Lake is a relaxed lake subdivision just about 15 miles outside of downtown Bastrop in Bastrop County Texas.  Lot sizes are generally 1/4 to 1/3 acres.  There is electric service and water service available.  Most lots will need a septic system.  The subdivision is a mixed bag of housing types that includes manufactured homes as well as site built homes.  The highlight of the subdivion is the private lake for the land and home owners use.  It is a non motorized lake that is perfect for sailing, canoeing, and kayaking. There has been a campaign to get a Costco in The Villages, Florida for years.  Almost daily post on many of the Facebook groups serving The Villages, letters to the editor on Villages-News, even a Facebook group promoting the idea.  It was announced Costco is coming and it is big news on social media.  Please know we already have a Sam’s Club and a BJ’s Wholesale Club but folks wanted Costco but not sure everybody will be happy about the location.  Costco will be built next to the Hobby Lobby on CR 466 toward the west end of The Villages.  I just did driving directions from the very south end of The Villages and it is 20 miles with plenty of roundabouts, the Clermont location might be quicker I think.We currently have one Target, second being built, two Lowes Home Improvement, one Home ... 04/24/2024

Tonight is the first night of Passover and Jewish people all over the World will be sitting down with their families and close friends and having a Seder dinner. What is a Seder, you may ask? It is a meal symbolizing freedom from slavery and bondage from Egypt, and each food has its own meaning. It is a tradition celebrated. The Jewish people left Egypt in haste with no time to make bread; therefore, this is why Matzo is unleavened bread. It is the Story of Exodus and there is a plate on the table that each food/herb has a meaning. You will find the story in the Bible. Being in Real Estate I get my share of items to donate, items leftover after estate sales, folks buying homes turnkey and not wanting items, flippers wanting the home empty and sometimes just decluttering a home to list for sale.  I try to spread things around to different charities plus I know who will take which items.  One I am connected to more than others that is Ye Olde Thrift Shoppe in Lady Lake.  The reason, my sister volunteers there and reminds me often they are always looking for donations.Ye Olde Thrift Shoppe benefits The Villages Hospital and has done an outstanding job doing so.  Recently they demoed an older building and built a new, bigger and better store.  The store is the hospital’s largest source of funding generating $351,199 in 2020-21 that increased the next year... 04/22/2024
