Good afternoon and hello again from Tim in Cottage Grove, Minnesota.  Hope this email finds you doing well, healthy and had a fantastic weekend.  Wanted to share Tim's Time Outs with you again.  THE FIRST STEP OUT OF A MESS: When everything is a mess and when you try to clean up, where do you start? In life, some messes are bigger than others.  Some situations are more traumatic and distressing.  A flat tire is different from your car being repossessed and you lost your job and facing eviction. So what do you do when "everything" is a mess??  Let me give a pointer on the first part that may help. When everything is a mess...first, as long as there is breath in your body, realize that it's impossible for everything to be in a mess.   SOMETHING has to be right. The first thing is to find ...

Doing things differently and Leanne Smith has great information in her blog again.  In any role be it professional or personal, doing things differently matters especially when achieving positive desired results.  Years ago, I read this quote by Marcel Proust: "The true voyage of discovery is not seeing new landscapes, but seeing with new eyes." How do you see things differently for yourself as a parent, sibling, friend or one of the many roles within the real estate industry? In my personal roles, I believe consistency beyond being ethical is one attribute that shows I do things differently. For me, being old school in real estate is definitely being different. I want to: Meet face to face with clients Actively listen to their wants and needs as well as what is not said Protect and Pro...

In modern homes, open floor plans have transformed dining and entertaining. A large area connecting the kitchen, dining room, and living space creates great family dinners and gatherings opportunities. Imagine hosting a holiday feast for dozens of guests without the constraints of a typical, enclosed dining room. With a thoughtfully designed open layout, you can easily rearrange furniture to create a warm, inviting atmosphere where everyone can gather.  The kitchen and dining areas become your home's heart, perfect for a memorable meal. But why limit this dining space to special occasions? An open layout promotes versatility. On quieter days, the same area can transform into a play zone for kids or a creative workspace for teens, allowing everyone to feel involved without sacrificing c...

LIFE is a gift beyond understanding, living or examination as it exceeds any attempts to be defined, regulated or explained. It's like love i.e. we know what it is to have it, not have it or lose it, but when it comes to defining it, even poets, sages, gurus, philosophers & the parties involved are at a loss to explain. Life demands respect & human beings must learn what works, what doesn't & in that process of experimenting, trial & error plus learning curves, the beating for playing in the game of life is a small price to payADVERSITY"Without adversity, there is no claim to virtue". What does this mean & why is this necessary? True moral strength, character building & the testing of beliefs have no value in their think stage, but instead, in the actual arenas of life. There it takes f...

“Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly.” — Langston HughesIn a world that moves fast and pressures us to “be realistic” it’s easy to set dreams aside. But your dreams are the fire that keeps you going; they fuel your purpose and give your life direction. When you give up on them, it’s like clipping your own wings. No matter how big or impossible your dream feels, hold on. Nurture it. Chase it. Because dreams aren't just wishes; they’re the blueprint for the life you’re meant to live. And when you believe in them, even when it’s hard, you give yourself the power to rise and soar.

Last week, my post on Grounding received many comments and questions. My sweet, AR friend, Kathy Streib called me and we had a great conversation about her experiences using grounding mats and bracelets. I had no idea so many people were talking about this type of therapy. As Kathy and I were talking, she asked me about my thoughts on infrared therapy. I have actually been doing some studying on this topic but have not yet invested in any type of equipment. I am considering purchasing something that can help me with my chronic upper back pain challenges. After three, major surgeries on my upper back and chest, all of the scars come together in one location that often lets me hear from them!First, let's define what infrared therapy is and how it is helpful for healing:As most understand, ...

We go about our daily lives with focus on what we want & where to go for the various reasons. Where it can get interesting is where we interact with another person, who is coming & going like we are. Why would we spend time on anything other than ourselves unless there was a reason to. Interpersonal interactions are just that & should be approached (tippy toe) as a mysterious adventure.WORTHY NOTE: As we begin to explore another person, good & not so good, note that everyone came into this world a loving infant fresh from creation.PUT THESE MOCCASSINS ONWe judge people & that is what we do. We also do it with circumstances all normally allowed. For a healthy assessment, one should try to experience another's situation before rendering a judgment, using empathy, curiosity & hopefully, a ...

April has always been a month of renewal, of fresh blooms, new beginnings and our Texas Bluebonnets. This year, something far more precious is blossoming: my grandson’s wedding. On Good Friday, he will marry the love of his life at The Chapel in Gruene, Texas, nestled in the heart of the Hill Country just a mile from the Gruene Historic District. The Chapel, with its charming outdoor ceremony space and elegant reception hall, provides the perfect setting for their intimate celebration. The rehearsal dinner will be held at the Gristmill River Restaurant, perched beneath Gruene’s iconic water tower. With its breathtaking views of the Guadalupe River and historic architecture of an 1878 cotton gin, it offers a rare blend of past and present; a fitting backdrop for this memorable occasion....

Sandpoint Realty 'Friday Flag' is the first for April, and 2nd quarter.  Our usual North Idaho battle is going on between winter and spring weather but makes a nice back drop for these nicely framed USA Flags.     Logging is a major part of North Idaho economy.  These flags found at the entrance to LaClede Mill, part of the Idaho Forest Group.  Impressive display overall, with a pond at the base I was unable to show and properly show off the 'Stars & Stripes'.      Thank you Idaho business, Idaho Forest Group, for proudly showing off 'Ole Glory' in such a grand fashion!      'Experience the Difference' in working with a full time Professional Sandpoint Realty REALTOR® Your wants and needs will always be my priorities.  Mark Don McInnesBroker - Owner208 255-6227SandpointNorthIdaho.com - ...

Yesterday I told a client doing a refinance loan that he wants to make surehe is prepared for the appraisers visit and I told him I would send him a check list. I actually forgot that I have a video about getting prepared for the appraisal and found it on my YouTube channel. I have never met this customer face to face so this video will introduce me as well as giving him the needed information. I have hundreds of videos and from now on I plan to load my emails with videos.
