Bill Haas, Bob Estes and Scott Stallings, tied at -10, returned to the tee of #18 for the tie-breaker.         Part 11, Pay It Forward - A Beautiful Day to start off the National Women Build Week     Today was a perfect spring day to be working on the Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity's Women Build House in White Sulphur Springs, WV.  The morning was cool, but by 2:00 pm, the temperature was 70 degrees.  Saturday, April 30 was the start of National Women Build Week (April 30-May 8, 2011).   During the week, members of the Blue Bells Garden Club in Lewisburg volunteered, and Neil Rhoades added the trim on the interior windows.       Pay It Forward, Part 10, Women Build Volunteers Working Easter Week - Heavy Rains Causes Delays, House Dedication Postponed One Week     This past week was a busy week considering most people were preparing for Easter .... and yet many volunteers came out to the Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity's Women Build site.  During the week, volunteers from the Greenbrier Valley Physical Therapy and Fitness group and the Greenbrier Academy for Girls  worked at the site.   Saturday, April 24 when I arrived at the site, I was quite surprised being that it was Easter weekend to see 20+  ladies from Bluefield State Women's Basketball Team, New River Community and Technical College staff, Covington City Schools and other local volunteers working on completing the exterior painting and priming ...

      We have less than three weeks to go to complete the Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity's Women Build house and deliver the keys to the Blevins' family on May 7th.  Last week, Fred and Jared Workman completed the drywall at the Women Build House located at 892 Tuckahoe Road in White Sulphur Springs.  On Saturday, April 16, the weather was not too cooperative....as the day started with terrible rain and wind.  But, the weather did not stop the volunteers.  We had volunteers from Pocahontas County and students and doctors from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.  The siding was completed, front porch railing installed and we started painting the exterior of the house.  Lesia Campbell of Lesia Campbell Interiors made the recommendation for the exterior paint color of the...

      Part 8, Paying It Forward - Four Weeks to go to Complete the Women Build House in White Sulphur Springs, WV With only four weeks to go, a lot of work has been accomplished.... but, the Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity's Women Build site still have a lot more to do to finish the house by May 7th. Volunteers are still needed. Last week's volunteers were women from all walks of life helping with the Women Build House in White Sulphur Springs.  Siding and drywall is almost complete, and work was started on the porches.     On Monday, April 4, the Mrs. America Pageant contestants volunteered on the Women Build house.
