Due to the US government shut down, the Freshwater Folk Festival has been moved       Saturday, October 5 10 am - 4 pm   Due to the US government shut down, the Freshwater Folk Festival has been moved to Midland Trail Park on E.   These young girls are growing and learning....watch them ROAR!     Forty-seven volunteers arrived on May 11, 2013, for the Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity construction site in recognition of National Women Build Week, May 3-12.  Over half of the volunteers were 18 years of age, and younger.   As one volunteer said... "No one should underestimate the abilities of a woman- she can run a home, raise a family, and have a career.     Young Volunteers Working at Habitat for Humanity’s 2013 National Women Build Week     On May 11, 2013, over 40 women including Lowe’s Heroes and Joan Reed, Executive Director of the Sheppard Center of Lewisburg, WV,  volunteered on an Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity construction site in recognition of National Women Build Week, May 4-12.
