Today was very exciting!  My first day at work as a volunteer for the Greenbrier Classic.   I was assigned to work in the Merchandise Tent.  It is very, very nice, and it is Air Conditioned...better than being outside in the hot sun all day.  We were pretty busy considering today was the first day of the Tour, but by Thursday it will be busier than a bee's nest.     .    While taking a walk on the grounds of the Old White Golf Course, I snapped these photos.... The Old White Golf Course is beautiful....and this area was so serene ... I just wanted to stay here for a while and take in the beauty on this beautiful Monday morning.           Other featured posts on the Greenbrier Classic: ALL Military Personnel Receives Complimentary Admission to the Greenbrier Classic IT STARTS TOMORROW!   IT STARTS TOMORROW!  The Greenbrier Classic     Today was the first day for some of the volunteers to start working at The Greenbrier Classic event.  Since my husband was scheduled to work a few hours today, I went along with him.  While the volunteers for the "Sponsor Group" were meeting, I took advantage to walk with them and take some photos.  Last minute preparations were being performed, from landscaping to cleaning, last touches for the sky boxes to food and beverages, ensuring TVs and leaderboards are working, etc., everyone was buzzing around like bees to be ready for this historical week.....the PGA Tour's first FedExCup event to be held in West Virginia.    The below photos were taken at the 18th hole.               It's been raining this afternoon and we may get more rain t...

A Beautiful Day to Check Out The Greenbrier's Grounds       While visiting The Greenbrier today, I was taking photos of the grounds for the Greenbrier Classic which is scheduled to start on Monday, July 26,.....everyone was busy getting ready for the PGA golf event.    On my tour of the grounds, I stopped to take some photos of the beautiful flowers.....and of course the beautiful "Golf Tees" sculpture.  The grounds were perfectly manicured and ready for the great West Virginia event.                 ____________________________________________________________ If I can assist you in any way with your real estate needs, please feel free to contact me by phone at (304) 520-2133, email, or visit my website.   Licensed in West Virginia and Virginia.   Keep Connected On....

The Greenbrier Classic is ready to get started in a few days. With all the activites that are available the area is in for a little bit of a shock, with the additional traffic. If you planning on coming to the event, make sure you know where you need to park. If you are from out of town or state, you will only be parking at the West Virginia State Fair Grounds in Fairlea. The shuttle service will be from the State Fair Grounds to the Hotel. From the releases on the big event there will be from 500 to 5000 per hour being shuttled from Fairlea to White Sulphur Springs. Anyone attending the event must know that you will pass through security at this point and you will not access the event unless you come through these check points. So no one will be able to enter the event by going to the...

If you are from White Sulphur Springs, and you want to show your age. The Buzz In convenience store is a blast from the past for us old timers! That is if you can remember back that far! For years the very first modern convenience store was just on the corner of Main Street and Mountain Avenue. I'm sure if you can remember the store in its orginial location, you also remember going and getting slurpy's and ice cream and candy. It was quite an item when the old Green Devils Jr. High was in town, all of us kids use to make a trip to town for lunch. Everyone use to keep the downtown merchants busy around lunch time. Now that is a blast from the past! But in 2010 the New Buzz-In is back in full swing! Located just beside the city park in town the new Buzz-In is open for buisness. The store ...
