The Luxembourg American Cultural Society will be welcoming classical pianist Jean Muller to Port Washington High School, 427 W. Jackson Street, Port Washington, on Monday, April 15 as part of his Midwest Tour.He will also be performing in St. Cloud, Minnesota; LaCrosse, Wisconsin; Dubuque, Iowa; and Aurora and Chicago, Illinois. Jean was born in 1979 and began studying piano at the age of six. He has studied in Brussels, Paris, and Munich, and his father, Gary Muller, who is a piano professor at the Conservatoire de Luxembourg, has been his mentor. Mr. Muller is the recipient of 12 first place awards at international competitions and has performed during state visits of Luxembourg's Grand Duke Henri. He has performed at over 300 concerts in Europe, Asia and the US. For more information...

This is the 4th year for this event that draws over 1000 women to downtown Port Washington for an evening of enjoying samples, giveaways, coupons, and drawings from local businesses, and an overall great time. A new county Transit Depot is here and you can check it out in Port Washington tomorrow, Saturday, September 22 at an open house from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This event will also include a celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Interurban Bike Trail. This new building, located at 741 West Oakland Avenue, can store up to 30 taxis, and has a wash bay, administrative office, meeting room and a dispatch center. It also provides a rest stop and restrooms for those using the bike trail, which runs past the depot. Food, beverages and music will be provided at the open house.

On Tuesday, October 21st, the Ozaukee County Administation Center will be hosting Prepare to Care, a program to help both individuals and families create plans for the future care of either themselves or their loved ones.  This program will be held from 6:30-8pm at 121 W Main Street in Port Washington and is open to everyone.  To register for this great program, simply call the University of Wisconsin Extension at 284-8288. Beginning today and continuing on until Sunday, September 21st, an army of volunteers are expected to descend upon Port Washington's Upper Lake Park to create Possibility Playground, a universally accessible play area.  Conceived by a grass-roots organization and organized over the last year, Possibility Playground will feature ramps and slides snaking through a replica of the Port Washington Lighthouse, a chain walk castle, tunnels, a mural of Lake Michigan and a pirate ship.  With its flat surfaces and wide ramps, the park is meant to be enjoyed by all children, regardless of their physical limitations.  Since it is being built at a blistering pace from the ground up, many volunteers are still needed to help out.  Work days start at 8am and continue until 8pm, each shift is 4 hours lo...

On Sunday, August 24th, St. John's Lutheran Church will host an Ozaukee Big Band Concert, Taste of Port Washington and fundraiser for the troops in Port Washington, WI. Food and beverages will be provided for sale by local Area Port Restaurants. The event will be held in the church's cafeteria, which will open at 4pm, the concert will take place from 6-7:30pm and all refreshments will be sold until 7pm. Beautiful Port Washington, Wisconsin is a wonderful lakeside community steeped in American history. This 4th of July weekend, many festivities abound for its residents and visitors alike. On Friday, the 4th, enjoy the Independence Day Parade at 11 am, followed by judging of children's decorated bikes and an old fashioned ice cream social from 11am-3pm at Veteran's Park.
