One thing I always welcome when Lars and I drove through the Waukesha Country Real Estate market is all the beautiful old train stations and depots that have been preserved and are a welcome sight. The history that these beautiful stations and depots have are long ans wonderful. The large outstanding train station and depot in Oconomowoc is a great example. After the Milwaukee Road pulled its passenger service in the mid-1970s, it was vacant for years.Today the depot is a popular restaurant and on the National Register of Historic Registers.Another station is the one in the City of Waukesha.The Waukesha train depot on Williams Street may indeed be a historic landmark, giving the depot-turned-restaurant a great charm.In Genesee Depot the former Milwaukee Road depot now houses a restaura...
